    • Thanks for all the input. While I was trying to decide what to do I decided to try programing the sensors one more time and found the antenna was not loose. I screwed it in and everything WORKED!!!! Amazing what a difference a good connection makes. When it comes replacement time I will defiantly move to the TST. Thanks for your help JB
    • It's not 2008.  I was there for that one, the only National Rally that I've ever been able to attend, and my truck isn't in that picture.
    • The chipping is not the issue, its all the paperwork you now need to complete to get your dog across the northern or southern borders and back again. You also have to revaccinate your already vaccinated dog if you want to do that, with a USDA vet. Considering all 3 countries are considered rabies free, its ridiculous. For example if your dog was vaccinated by a non USDA vet as most are and you go into Canada, you will now have to fill out  a form and have it stamped and signed by a CFIA (Canada Food Inspection Agency) vet in Canada to get your dog back into the  US. There are only about 100 of those in the entire country, and if you can find one it will cost you. If you cross into mexico you need a vet that works for the Mexican government who has a gov.mx email address.  Only one of those in Baja for eg.  I have spoken to USDA vets, The CFIA and the border services and they are all confused about all of this. It will be a mess.
    • I talked to Lisa yesterday. She sold me on this roof last year at the National Rally. Your information above serves to further convict me of that choice! I've got a 2009 Newmar and hesitated to spend the money, but as of now have decided to go ahead and do it. I don't know of a better built trailer out there, short of the custom built ones, that would be a step up for me. The old decor doesn't bother me at all. Function and reliability are what matter to me. (so figuring ol' Murphy is alive and well, I figure about the time the roof is all done I'll have to replace the ACs!😲
    • As some of you know, I have the truck that Jim and Valarie Ghelan converted way back 2002-2003. They are credited with starting/helping to start the HDT National Rally. I found this picture in the paper work I got with the truck. Looks like the date is 2006, maybe 2008 (I need to look at the original picture again to be sure). Anyway, FWIW
