  1. I have a smaller hydraulic crimping tool, Harbor freight brand, it works... But the die sizes are waaaay off. When I had a shop up, we had a long handle crimper with the rotating head with the different size crimper jaws. I was able to take a measurement of the inside of the jaws for a 4/0 wire crimp, and use that measurement to drill out one of the Harbor Freight dies. Works well that way with no issues. I would like to do this with a #2 wire crimp and a 2/0 wire crimp size. Does anyone have a chart made for correct die sizes for crimps?
  2. The 3.8 is a fun motor... I had a family ride that had one back in the day, the Bonneville SSEI to be exact. It ran well for as big as it was. As far as a little boost, water-methanol is fairly common in the pick up diesel world for adding a little oomph and cooling EGT's on long pulls.
  3. Has it been that long already? It seems like yesterday that we met y'all at a little park outside Hot Springs!
  4. 20k is better. Using 100% of the rated capacity is a guaranteed way to have a 100% failure.
  5. How much did you have to modify the roof/ceiling for the cassette?
  6. If the tank had fluid and froze, it will crack. The WW tank on our Volvo 610 cracked while in Kansas 2 winters ago... temps were in the teens or high single digits and the Walmart brand "Good to -20*" fluid froze.... and cracked the tank.
  7. The 610 had an option for an upper bunk, so I would assume the 730's would. I bought a set of bed hinges to make a custom shelf for ours.
  8. If you haven't experienced IBD or Crohn's disease, then you may not realize ....... let me put this politely..... the clean up required after.... your gut tearing episode. The best way to describe it is to go eat some gas station sushi, chase it with a cold can of Van Camps pork and beans with a chaser of your cheapest rot gut whiskey..... Now have this happen randomly several times a day.....
  9. We are used to the southeast yellow pine tree pollen season... or what's common,y called the itchy watery eye season, so being here in Casa Grande this year caught us off guard with all the pollen here. We were hoping for an easier allergy season but was WRONG... And yes... every time I sneeze or sniffle... people back away from me....
  10. Arizona is running a dollar higher. Gas is $2.69, Diesel is $2.79 or so in towns.
  11. I've seen several trucks that run for Reliable Carriers that are that long.
  12. 40 acres ain't gonna be enough.....
  13. I was an OSHA approved respirator fit and tester for a company I worked at.... Kept a pack of Bic razors in the bag for the bearded guys that had to get their tests..... can't paint if you had any facial hair. I might have my bottle of skinky stuff around somewhere still. It is amazing at how many people didn't read the instructions that came with the mask.
  14. You would need a 3rd dishwasher for pots and pans....
  15. Because the Lysol type spray products are getting hard to find, To reuse/clean the cotton type masks or the polyester style, you could autoclave them like the old medical folks did. Low pressure +steam, for x minutes will break down virus. You might need to get creative to make a steam chamber that could stay hot enough long enough to do the job...... wonder if an insta-pot would work?
  16. Awesome. I have found several shops that are worth going back to or mentioning.
  17. I remember that stash.... You could start making "Quarantine Kits" and put them on E-bay.
  18. I take it that you have keys for the tank fuel caps?
  19. I have Centramatics on our truck. The did make a difference to us. We have had Hercules brand on the back for 5 years and will age them out before the tread wears out. The front we ran Toyo's for awhile with a good wear pattern until an camber issue cut the inner passenger side- outer driver side of them. We had the alignment fixed and currently have Firestone tire on the front. Both brands have been smooth and performed well in all weather- ... snow- torrential rain- ice- dirt and gravel roads.
  20. My current company supplied work truck is a 2013 F150 with 199xxx miles on it. It gets 12 mpg, rides ok on its worn out bouncy shocks. But I can't see over traffic, the V6 turbo barely gets out of its own way doesn't, and I don't have a fridge next to me...
  21. Henry had another lift in parts that was never installed. The step design that Carl has is awesome. But a temp solution, a little redneck though, was to use our Pet Loader steps. Alie twisted her knee and had a hard time climbing the fairing steps into the truck. We use the Pet Loader 5 step for our arthritic mutt, and its weight rated to 250lb or so. Worked great for a month or 2.
  22. Look at the Marine market for pumps. We had a requirement for a pump that could lift 15+ feet and pump 75' on a 3/4 hose. It moved a good volume at that limit. Many 12v rv water pumps will pull 10' and flow 5-7gal per min. Look up Jabsco water pumps.
  23. We have been using Dougherty & Associates, Inc (605) 361-6318 3704 S Westport Ave, Sioux Falls, SD 57106 https://www.doughertyassoc.net/SD-RV-Insurance.html We have used them to secure our ins since 2014. Through them we are currently with National General.
  24. That crap didn't come from NC.... But the closer I get to California the more of it I see...
  25. Asked if I could be impartial... I started laughing..... Took the rest of the day off instead of going to work....
