  1. Nice! What kind of finish are you planning on? Paint? Polished? Bed Liner?
  2. Go have some ribs for us at Rudy's.... we're stuck up north this winter.... Gotta do something to keep all those pine needles out of the chairs....
  3. Over the years they have been mounted in many places and configurations. The more protected they are the better.
  4. So on my generic Volvo fuse layout says- Fuse 27 is Flash to Pass Fuse 12 is the Driver Info Center. Check the wires on the back plug for the Driver Info Center make sure all the pins are pushed in. On our '98 Volvo with a Cummins, we had an issue with the Daylight Driving Light module that plugs into the fuse panel. It caused all sorts of gremlins for a day or 2.
  5. Completely understand. I remember a rush at the end to get it done, but wasn't aware that it was incomplete at pick-up.
  6. Maybe Mr. COB will see this, he had a bed built up there 2 years ago.
  7. When we had our last house, we had a gas stove and a 5 brick wall heater. Main source of heat was a heat pump, but the wall heater took the chill of quickly. We had a 200gl horizontal tank placed by the gas company. I work in Natural Gas gas and if there was a bunch of fire ants near that old Butane tank, the tank was leaking. Fire ants love methane for some reason.
  8. There are several sensors located on and around the radiator stack. I would start there and work towards the firewall along the drivers side frame rail for the AC pressure switches. Check the connections, terminals, etc. Check the harness for the coolant tank sensor on the passenger side, I've had an intermittent issue with that sensor and harness. Check your grounds... there are several behind the kick panels under the dash, I would recommend actually taking the grounds off, cleaning the terminal and reconnecting. Check all the grounds on the truck. I solved a bunch of little issues this way. 1998 Volvo 610 Cummins engine 10sp.
  9. Robert, You said your having the wheel liners bed lined. Are you taking it to a LineX shop or doing the DIY. I have found that the LineX is a pretty durable coating against rocks and other debris impacts, where the DIY isn't. Mythbusters also did some pretty fun testing with it.
  10. Hate to tell ya.... But it looks like someone stole your rear axle....😁
  11. That's like the guy who did my turbo... in nowhere Blanding Utah.
  12. The code probably has to be cleared on whatever computer module it lives on... ecm, lcm, etc.
  13. My hose theory... We stay in enough parks that are on a city municipal chlorine treated system that we have never had an issue since 2013 when we went fulltime. Up to that point, we bought a new cheap hose every year for the seasonal/weekend use then let it sit for a month or 2...
  14. This past July we descended I-70 on the Colorado front range.... ran 8th gear all the way down at 55 with the Jake on... there were more than several pick-ups pulling both 5th wheels and bumpers pulls that were smelling like hot semi-metallic brake pads that passed us in a hurry.... Nice to have enuf truck...
  15. Took some trial and error, but it works... better than a nothing solution. I'm not putting BluDot on this DRV due to other issues, and Tucson didn't read the truck computer system. Didn't want another Hayes so I took the better than nothing approach.
  16. I went thru 2 Hayes and dropped down to P-3. Most people with newer trucks go with the Tucson brake control set up. Plug and play.
  17. Chet, My old Trailersaver has 2 tabs welded on the main body that limit the upswing of the swing arm. I know they won't hold if the 24k trailer rolls, but it limits the upswing travel of the arm.
  18. Or Florida... Because we didn't return 4 times to the dealer we bought from to have the dealer attempt the repairs, we couldn't file a claim for all the water intrusion and rot issues we have had.
  19. We have several of the cheaper hoses but also have a 50' Flexzilla that has worked well when needed. I bought the flexzilla to use specifically in cold temps where other hoses tend to crack. We were at a park for 2 weeks before their water was turned on and used this to refill our tank from a hydrant a ways away.
  20. Roger has 800 amp at 24 volt available, and has plenty of room to car a Smart. He's somewhere around 3000 watts of solar panel. Ran everything on the DRV he had and runs everything on their new New Horizons.
  21. Goes back to the saying that there is no replacement for displacement...
  22. Missed Drinking out of the garden hose.... 🤣 Glad you're up and moving and the pain is mostly eliminated.
  23. What is your Price Point and Goal for the unit? Hooked up in parks 24/7 or Boondocking? Etc...
