  3. I have drinking water safe hoses that are blue, white, green, grey, and black
  4. You can have several feet of snow before it becomes an issue....
  5. Bright Blessings, Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas!
  6. Now, after having been in this for 8 yrs, I often ask back "Why not?" and let it hang....
  7. Thanks all, We're currently in Bismarck ND, next job is in Milwaukee. We need to be outa our current place Saturday, but can't check into the Milwaukee fair grounds until Friday. We have a days worth of housekeeping in Sioux Falls, but then we're free for the week. With as expensive as fuel has gotten, I was intending on staying on our route with an extra couple days spent somewhere inbetween.
  8. Are there any open year round? We have 9 days to kill between Sioux Falls SD and Milwaukee (next job assignment). Looking for a place to stop and stay for a few days before I have to work.
  9. I got a BIG time out for saying that a few years ago....
  10. The 60-72" overhang length is about the max distance most have found. What happens is the 5th wheel will start to act like a bumper pull trailer and sway.
  11. I think mine is still that way.... had to replace the valve, but used the old arm since it was already "Adjusted".
  12. Basically... Cool fuel injected into the cylinders on a long cycle compared to the stroke.
  13. Ivy Acres in Piedmont SC. Just south of Greenville SC http://www.ivyacresrvpark.com/ We stayed there for 2 months.
  14. Most of the competition diesel racing either big rigs or pick ups, over fuel the engines to keep cylinder temps under control. They don't have enough cooling capacity to handle the HP developed without the extra fuel going in.
  15. If the factory tail light harness was used, there is a connector on the passenger frame rail near the crossmember at the rear of the transmission. Mine had a little corrosion in it that caused a few issues.
  16. We didn't do much today on the truck.... But we did increase its value by 10%..... 178 gallons......🙄
  17. Box the shackles so they can't bend side to side.
  18. Our kitchen slide is not a flat floor slide but is an above floor slide style. We use this around the bottom. Its basically a long skinny foam rope like a pool noodle. We use the 1/2" size and it fills the gaps and keeps items from going under the slide. https://www.homedepot.com/p/M-D-Building-Products-1-2-in-x-20-ft-Caulk-Backer-Rod-71480/202066515
  19. If you not running the I-Pass or similar commercial transponder, I wonder how they would know who or what you are?
  20. Rod- We had the same questions a year ago and our answers came down to repair it. Our issue was a bad ECM ($1800x2), a worn out clutch $5400 (clutch, pressure plate, other parts and pieces), and a worn out front end ($2800). Our rig has 600k on it now. So our decision was can we sell it as is and buy something better? Trade the truck and DRV for a coach? Or repair it... With as expensive as the truck market is, and since I'm still working we have to have a "mobile" home to move to the next projects, we decided to put roughly $12k into a truck that we bought for $19k. We considered me taking a permeant position on a project, but rent, lease, or buy is stupid expensive now and you have to live somewhere. I'd find a shop, maybe not Volvo, and see if they can chase the gremlins down. I agree that its a harness issue, probably a wire getting old or rubbed thru. Possible a connector that is corroding inside but clean outside.
  21. I'm the exact opposite.... if I don't hear the rattles and squeaks I know to stop and see what fell off....
  22. How is the truck titled? Most insurance companies with insure private truck, or a truck that has been retitled as an RV. Call your current agent and tell them what you want to do.
