  1. Agree... I can make black paint match better than red.
  2. Out of the price range I think. Thanks Chad, I'll pass it on. Thanks!
  3. Without going into all the past 10 years of Dingy Towing guides, what is 4 down tow-able in the small pickup truck market? I know the Chevy Colorado is in the 4wd platform. But is a Toyota Tacoma, Nissan?, Ford Ranger? others? So if you have one, or have had one or know of one, please post.
  4. From someone that has had the L3-L4 area repaired, pushed their luck, and went back to work and play before they should have, and now needs that L3-L4 fixed again AND L4-L5 repaired, do what your doc says.... Take it easy, don't push to soon...
  5. Somebody with a bucket truck could make some $$$ at the ECR
  6. I learned VERY QUICKLY with our 10-sp standard U-shift to run a higher RPM in a lower gear when the roads are white.... Letting the engine lug along watching the fuel meter show 15+mpg is fun until you hit a bridge joint that bumps the rear just enough to let the engine rev breaking the rear end loose from all the torque. Then you learn how to drift sideways down the highway in snow.... at night..... With your wife saying "Hang on to what"? So the lesson is- Don't drive in the snow- Don't drive in the snow or ice in a high gear Don't drive in the snow at night Don't tell your wife to "Hang on" while driving in the snow at night....
  7. In the last 2 months of my survey work, I have seen 2 houses burned to the ground because of lithium batteries not being properly handled. 1 house was still on fire.... First house had an aftermarket golf cart battery charging in a basement access area. Battery blew. The homeowner was cautious in talking with me about it. But from our talk, it was an electric car type of battery, that had been removed from wreck 4 weeks prior, and was being re-purposed. Had the module been damaged in the wreck? Or was the charger out of parameter with a faulty BMS Second house was a child's battery powered car that had a lithium battery installed as a replacement. The family had used the original charger to charger the ride.
  8. Hi Mr C Our flames were done somewhere out in Washington state at a small shop in the mid 2000's. I'll did thru our book that we received with the truck and see if I can find the company.
  9. There are a lot of bridges in Mississippi that say 18T or 30T max load etc.... There is an Indian Casino near Laurel Mississippi that every road has a bridge with a limited weight.... So how did they build the Casino?
  10. Same as the North Dakota Patrolman that said he had learned something that day....
  11. Hard to match 20yr old flames.... But it could be done.
  12. Yup and are well worth the $40 for the cheapee model.
  13. Would you trust Forest River.... or Thor to build a module that won't leak 🤣
  14. Look at DollyTrolley Posts. He has a computer sheet already made that you enter your dimensions and known weights. You can also measure it out and use NotEvens method.
  15. Is there any known difference to the 1998 Volvo's? HeWhoKnowsLittle- AKA Roger Jones and I tried to have Alan at Direct Link program one for us but the communication from Direct Link really sucked. If it was plug and play, then I'll re-investigate it.
  16. Do one side at a time. No helper needed.
  17. A business partner currently sitting in a park in Chattanooga is experiencing a low voltage issue. Voltage is 100-103, so he bought a Hughes Autoformer to boost his voltage. People on either side of him are complaining that their AC's are short cycling and they're blowing their main breakers inside. Low Voltage means the unit is going try to pull more amps to compensate, amps will create more heat then the cord-plug prongs can handle.
  18. It shouldn't hurt anything. I run Murphy-Sams Club-Costco fuel all the time. I would have an extra fuel filter and wrench handy if needed.
  19. On mine it was a piece of Formica type material.... Peeled off really easy and was glued onto the new piece. Our was 1-1/2 thick. You could use 3/4 and do a stagger joint if needed. There is a product called Coosa Board http://www.coosacomposites.com/ That all the slide floors and side walls need to be made out of. I used it for years in the marine industry for transoms, stringers, bulkheads etc. It is the first true rot proof plywood replacement. There is another product call Starboard- King Star, but nothing much likes to stick to it, and screws will strip out easily.
  20. Glad it all worked out for ya. I tried using a 1/2" breaker bar for the handle but I don't have the clearance under the front cap of the 5th wheel to make it work. I ended up using my same old tried and true old steel tube handle that has a crushed end on it. Slides right over the hitch handle. When Henry made mine, it was an exchange of my old Binkley head and the Trailersaver rocker box. I paid $800.... High Low... Just right I don't know, but it works....
  21. Fitzgerald had people sourcing the DD60 series engines everywhere in the western hemisphere. Anywhere they could pull a block and head out of the wrecking yards and backwoods they have. I thought they were building a great product...
  22. Ask a moderator to delete it. But generally only the original thread owner can have something deleted. In the past I used the side of a semi trailer... same concept with boards and wedges to apply pressure. We also had some success using a commercial vacuum system to "Bag" the wall. It applied enough vacuum to suck the wall in. Only about 5-7 inches were needed.
