  1. Our 610 Volvo is a 10sp as well. There are times I like it, and times its aggravating. We used it as a daily driver for 4 years so there were times my leg got tired of the clutch. Only clutched to get rolling... float everything else.
  2. When we had our Carrilite 36MAX1 It weighed in at 18000+... and had 4500lb pin weight.
  3. You can go from the 6 pin truck side to a 9 pin and either another 9 or OBD style https://www.amazon.com/MasTrack-Adapter-Cable-J1939-Trucks/dp/B08BG5QQDR/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjw7MGJBhD-ARIsAMZ0eeuC4Hmh2ADpIoCejhvhhNIERBHK_oQrv30IdbW3O3vGOojGjdXXXPAaAjZhEALw_wcB&hvadid=323187738697&hvdev=c&hvlocphy=9020955&hvnetw=g&hvqmt=b&hvrand=13065304702430975296&hvtargid=kwd-295458188559&hydadcr=19133_9281224&keywords=6+pin+to+9+pin+adapter&qid=1630629927&sr=8-1 https://www.amazon.com/Green-female-splitter-freightliner-tracker/dp/B07TXVJHML/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=j1939+6+pin+to+9+pin+y+adapter&qid=1630629802&s=industrial&sr=1-1
  4. Yours being all mechanical will still be running when all the plastic electronics are long gone....
  5. Yes, They raised the RPM limiter to 2200 from 1800, reprogramed for more HP and torque. To take full advantage of it I need to swap injectors out. Also changed the shut down setting and high Idle parameters, got the speedometer back in calibration.
  6. See if you can get it on a Cummins computer. It's the easiest option without throwing parts at it. Not having your display working sets it back. The display would show a code that you can search.
  7. Midwest ECM might do it. They specialize in the Cummins ECM but its worth a call. I'm pleased with what they did with mine.
  8. It happens to us on occasion. Placed we stayed in North Georgia was 600 plus electric for the month. Weekly was 275. We have on occasion paid a month and then left after 2-3 weeks.
  9. Thanks David! The DRL module was removed when it caused issues in the past.
  10. Update! On my headlights, they are the T2 type bulb socket. The harness end that the bulb plugs into has 3 wires, ground and 2 powers. When connecting the harness plug to the bulb, the low beam power wire was pushing up out of the socket instead of connecting onto the bulb connector. Connector is only 23 years old....
  11. Here is the scenerio- Truck is a 1998 Volvo VNL 610 Drivers side low beam headlight doesn't operate. Passenger side does. Swap bulbs side to side- issues stays on drivers side. High Beams work on BOTH sides. Fuses are visually good. New headlight harnesses from Deep Space lighting AKA our resident guru David Dixon. No issues for 3 years. Harness ohms out correctly. Is there a relay I'm missing? Suggestions
  12. We registered ours back in 2014. Did the affidavit with the boxes checked to show it was an RV. Never got asked any questions about it. Took longer waiting in line than the actual window time. Minnehaha County, Sioux Falls
  13. We have a 2013 Pure, that I added wider rims and tires to. In 2018 we paid 4800 for it with 18000 miles. It had be an advertisement car and had city road rash. Runs good.
  14. I think I got it.... but will it back feed?
  15. I can fill our passenger side, 150gal, and by knowing how low the drivers side is, I can add about 3-4 gallons a minute and let it transfer over. I usually do this when someone has honked a horn at me, flashed their lights, rudely telling me that trucks don't belong in "Their Lanes" etc. I ran 70 gallons into the drivers tank this way once.... Just to prove a point.... I got more time than money.
  16. There are 2 fuses for the ECM as well. One about a foot back on the main ECM harness, and another near the batteries- that one goes to ground. There is a ground behind the lower dash panel by the steering column, and well as the main pass thru harness. There is also a ground that runs from the starter to frame. I've replaced these as I've had issues with my "98 610.
  17. There are the 2 rest stops just east of Bismarck on I-94 that the State Patrol uses as a truck DOT inspection location. I've blown by it so many times bobtail I doubt they even look anymore...
  18. This still peaks my interest as well. My downfall is that I have no easy way to carry the ladders needed to do roof work. Unless they are using drones for 2nd story work now. With, flooding, fires, hurricanes it might be a good time to reinvestigate this.
  19. Dave, Yours has it.... Our 2013 has it.... there is a button on the dash, parallel S lines on a push button near the unlock button on the dash. The light on the das will illuminate when you slide the car on snow/ice or are on a nice gravel road and drift a turn. It takes a lot to make "Turn On- or take effect"..... I had to push the car to see it.
  20. Another new job, or the new job that is a year old now?
  21. DRV must have an Amish technician that is color blind.... they had the 12v aux hooked to the trailer brake line. When I hooked up and plugged in the trailer at Lazy Days, I heard the brake actuator- disc brakes- humming. The trailer would roll until the pads and rotors started smoking... found and pulled the fuse for the brake pump. There were other issues as well, but we won't go there tonight....
  22. 🤣🤣 It's great when someone posts what I'm thinking!!!!
  23. Our old Volvo turned 23.... next time around I'm going to see if Hagerty's will cover it.
  24. Mr C- We have agreed value on the RV and Truck. The truck is higher than the street value of the truck, because I can't by or build a truck for $7400. The RV is what our original purchase price was. We're paying more in premium than I want, but we already had 1 RV totaled. Our premiums run around 2400 or so.... not fun.
