Crossville bound!

Headed out this morning from Texas to the up coming rally. We decide to take a look at some property in the area after last years visit, we surely did like the area. We are sitting in Sunrise RV park outside Texarkana on I 30 tonight.

It's been 20 years since I have been to Carlsbad. We are sitting West of Nashville tonight ar Parkers Crossing RV park. It is a nice little park that sits atop of a hill. We will be at Deerrun tomorrow.

Wow! You guys are really getting there early.  Was going to leave Hillsdale Lake State Park (KS) tomorrow, but will probably leave on Tuesday and get there Wednesday.

Do the elevators work now?  we were there in Feb 2016 and the elevators were out of order.  It was tough enough going down.  Back up was a hike.

Last time I was there, we wanted to do the hike up, but they wouldn't let us.

Pulled in about 12:30 to find a park that has changed 100% from last year. The sites in the new loop have to be 35' wide and 90' long and the spot where the tent was last year is looking like a 5 star Key West park. I bet in the five hours after we arrived they dumped 10 large loads of new rock on the roads in the older loop and are working to finish the few remaining sites. Had a great dinner with 14 others that have also arrived early, it is going to be a really nice two weeks.

We are in ( 309) and have had a few conference seminars of swapping hugs and handshakes today. Its been a great day and Miss Judy and I look forward to a full park and a full belly!  Kim and the crew are working VERY hard to make this the best yet. !!

I think the unofficial count is at about 16 rigs as of this evening.  Hard to believe that by end of day tomorrow, before the big infux occurs, that there will already be more people here than for all of the 2014 rally!

We are headed out today.  Couple of stops/visits (Little Rock & Nashville) along the way and will be there Saturday.

We'll prob make it, but without the trailer. Refrigerator is delayed, I apparently screwed up the figures on the floor and I am 2 boxes short. duh! Getting the range set in place today and starting on the shoe molding for the finished parts of the floor, countertop guy made the template yesterday, will install tomorrow, but no refrigerator and no floor on the big slide is probably a no go. Also, won't have time to get the water heater installed before the rally. Still thrashing, so maybe we'll treat this as a camping exercise and just sleep in the AC on a mattress, cook on the table outdoors. I really don't want to move all the furniture in and then have to take it out again to finish the floor. Still deciding..... Worst case I'll be there Sat night in the truck, Aimee and Carsyn will arrive Sunday as Saturday night is prom, and missing that is not an option.

I have also used my truck as home base. It had a 42" sleeper. I have an idea for you, if you don't mine. When I used the truck, I also had a 12' x 12' easy-up over the table to do my cooking and food prep. I also used two sides on the easy-up to help keep out the wind and rain. If you need anything I should be in site 326. I don't have an easy-up again more. Mother Nature did a number on it last year when I was working on my truck. It is the making of a campfire story.

The Jone's, Mayer's and Gregg Shields are headed out today for Crossville. A caravan of three big trucks, trailers and smarts.....Overnight in the casino at Metropolis (Paducah, KY), then hit the campground Friday.....We are in Concordia, and waiting for the rain to bypass us.....
