house
I am getting close to finishing my bed for my new to me 2013 International Prostar, I was hoping that rather than build some under bed boxes I might just purchase some, does anyone have any brand or source recommendations? I have found plenty on line but I know that quality varies widely between even between different lines from the same manufacturer. I am tempted to pick up some they have at Tractor Supply simply because I know what I am getting. any other suggestions?

He has Chandler Equipment boxes on his truck. When I buy boxes for my truck, I will go the the Chandler brand. Jaydrvr
I prefer the Bawer stainless steel boxes from 4statetrucks. They look nice for a long time without any effort. Jay
Chuck
I have Highway Products. They appear to be off the shelf. My rig is singled long and they are in a cradle between the skirting steps and the rear tire. Never had any leaks. Tried to send a pic, but not successful. GlennWest
I went a different route. My bed is maximum width. So I bought custom boxes to take advantage of this. Mine are 32" deep. Also height to line up with truck lower line. Cost more but I believe worth it. I am a cheap wad too. Big5er
My problem with the Chandler box, like shown in the picture, is they hinge at the bottom. That means anything heavy in the box has to be lifted over the door to put it in the box. I prefer side hinged boxes. Brad NSW
That's a definite benefit of side boxes. Pro's of bottom hinge: 1) I can stand on the door and step onto the bed, they are that heavy duty. 2) I can lay things on the door as I sort through the box contents and don't have to put that stuff on the ground...two back surgeries and less bending is of some value to old farts like me!
