Volvo Closet Uses

Jemstone

Recommended Posts

Our Volvo 730 has two closets behind the seats. I have a subwoofer in the bottom of one, but they are otherwise empty. Anyone found a creative use for the closets?

Winter jackets that I never use, but can't seem to take to the Coat Drive. Where the Porta Potty is stored, you do have a porta potty in your motorhome, correct? Spare filters and other items recommended by the HDT gurus.

Let's see. I have three plastic tubs, tub 1 has wire, wire loom, crimpers, and all things electrical. Tub 2 has spare air governor, spare leveling valve, various lengths and sizes of air hose (connectors are stored elsewhere). Tub 3 miscellaneous "stuff" new fuel tank rubber strap, headlight trim Etc. Below that I have a small storage cab with my drill, a jig saw, 4/0 & 3/0 cable, a wheel lug buster, and all my impact extensions and sockets. Oh, BTW also have an ax in the top closet for firewood. Not very creative but functional.

Eww...No. Not never ever ever. Would be brand new, in the box if I did. And something in a box, never used is wasting space.

I didn't say it had to be out of the box. It's still new and will remain so, but it's in there along with the microwave, fridge and shore power connection.

You are correct Phil BUT (not butt) we needed the Porta Potty to get re classed as a motorhome in MI. It was one of the requirements. It is still sealed and unused and under the bed. They said we had to have it not that we had to use it.

Almost forgot. The closet also holds Christmas decorations for the truck.

Well, IF you ever really NEED that porta potty you will be glad it is there. We have one in our truck, ready to use (not in a box). We don't use it, but it is there if needed. Each to their own. I probably don't need the spare parts I carry either.....but I'm glad to have them with me. :)

If you say what you use it for does that me you are "out of the closet?"

BTW, the 610 doesn't have one.

As one gets older, the valves and gaskets start to leak and sometimes suddenly blow out. That's when it is nice to have a porta-potti right inside instead of on the other side of the parking lot.

You have to have it when you convert from HDT to RV. Does the law say it has to be maintained? What if I remove it from my motor home or 5th wheel. Does that mean it is no longer a RV?

Drivers Side: Removed the doors and fridge fits there perfectly.

Passengers side left alone. Store extra clothing there. Mostly cold weather stuff. Comes in handy when we start the day off in one clement and then find ourselves in a different clement later in the day. The lower half of the closet (shoe closet) has the emergency cat pan. Not regularly used but on a long day and the cat needs a potty break all we have to do is open the door. Also keeps the dog out of it and not in our way.

Umbrellas, rain coats, baseball bat, pokin' pole. Not sure what is in the box at the bottom.... haven't opened it to look in five years.

Every time i read the title of this thread, i see "Volvo closet users"

And i think, "i might be a little embarrased to use a Volvo, but i wouldn't be in the closet . . ."

But then again, i still don't own a hdt of any brand .

Apologies for the off topic.
