  1. Haven't been around much in the past two seasons, just now kind of getting a handle on all the changes in our lives. Doc's still have not conclusively decided what's causing the Parkinson's like symptoms and probably won't. Live wid it. Just wanted to thank everyone for the kindness shown to Paula and I and maybe we'll swing by the 2022 edition of the rally and wave at everybody. The Toy Draggin is sold and living in Minnesota, and the XLR is sold and will live in eastern Kentucky. Sadly, our BorBooder Collie, Daisy, passed unexpectedly last year, but the good news is we now have BooBoo, a rescue mix with Pit, Beagle, Pekingese, and much, much more. He's a project. Anyway, thanks for the kind thoughts Paul and Paula

  3. Hey Vegas Teacher; We have our Forest River XLR Thunderbolt 395 up for sale. (Health Issues) so we're selling the whole rig, truck, coach, and Smart. Check the Ad in the For Sale forum. Has a 14' garage with full separation from living area. Working on Pictures. Paul
  4. Will this work?? Tried earlier on HDT & it said you could not receive mail.

So try this from member search: $33 - 36 for the Truck, $44 - 46 for the coach, $77 - 75 for the pair.

Paul, and thanks for the help.

  5. Finally seem to be getting past the 2-t3 Dr visits a week so will be working on getting our rig sold. For those who don't remember, the Toy Draggin is a 2001 64T VNL 770 Volvo Pre-Emission Tractor, singled MID with an aluminum bed. (Not my choice, just came that way & we were too cheap to replace it.) We've done most all of the greasy work (New clutch, throw-out bearing, pressure plate, and autoshift transmission) under the truck, so no worries with that for a while. Cab is in good shape but could use a bit of cosmetic attention in spots. Don't get me wrong, it shines up pretty good, but it isn't custom paint/decals either. Already has Jackalopee installed, The trailer is a 2014 Forest River XLR Thunderbolt 395AMP, 44' long with a 14' garage. (REALLY cool) which will fit a Side by Side, or 2 Dressers, or a small Broadway show. Everything works, including some electrical upgrades. Has 2 A/C units, 2 batteries, solar, additional grounding capacity, and some suspension mondifications. The Rig has 95% or better tires all around, truck & trailer. Gotta stop, Admin is gonna yell a me for hijacking the thread. Will get something posted on the FOR SALE forum shortly. Meantime, you can send me a PM if you're a serious buyer.
  6. Been a while since I've been on the forum. 'Bout a year ago, we realized I have a bad case of vertigo and me driving 68 ft, 33 tn beast may not be in anyone's best interest. Soooo, the Toy Draggin rig will be up for sale shortly. I'll be putting details up shortly, both here and the Sale forum. 2013 Barabas Smart 2014 Forest River XLR 395 Toy Hauler 2001 Pre-Emissions Volvo 770 Autoshift Tractor, Singled Mid

    ECR Do-Over

Not to put too fine a point on it, but I'd be very careful about bad mouthing Draggins.
  8. Rick, Take a look @ well pump filters. You can find them down to .01 microns some string based, some folded paper.
  9. Sorry, got to the discussion late. So is this a Snap-on thong only thing, or are the peasants and swine invited as well??
  10. Trimster; Don't recall who exactly it is, but somebody on here has a fold-away elevator made for the passenger door. Even had a video to go with it. Wasn't commercial, made for the driver or his DW, looked slick to me. Good Luck

    Smart broke down

Not even gonna tell you what the tax folks value our 2013 Barabas at, suffice it to say it would allow us to fill the shop with a whole lot of Smart Cars and have money left. At $11K seems to me a new buggy of some sort would be in order.
  13. Ya know, that Tom feller tries to act like he fits in to the Southern lifestyle, but sometimes I wonder. Water stains on the stacks?? You gonna shine it or drive it?
  14. X3 on the foam fill - had the front tires on our Kubota filled for several years & no worries. Word of caution - the small tires weigh well over 100# each. Just sayin'
  15. Put the Toy Draggin down for 2 as well Paul & Paula

    Air brake issue

Randy; It is, after all, Charlie the Tool Man. My advice for him is to start with a large hammer and work on getting the purge valve(s) to work properly. If that doesn't work, get drunk. See ya'll at the rally Paul
  17. Pardon me for arriving late to the party, but... When we had that same problem, after several disgusting episodes, I go a really good look at the valve in question and realized that the cable had a kink which made me think that the issue was the valve because of the resistance in trying to open or close the valve. The valve is a sandwich valve. Has a flange face on the pipe side, and a flat face on the valve blade side. I bought a new cable and a new set of guts for the valve. Loosen but don't remove the valve body screws (should be 4). With a little wiggling, you should be able to pull the blade out. Minor clean up, replace the cable, install the new blade, tighten flange screws & give 'er a little test. Not exactly right, but you get the idea. This valve is a bit different than what I suggested, but it should get you aimed in the right direction. https://www.etrailer.com/RV-Sewer/LaSalle-Bristol/34466N11AB36GM.html
  18. AAAAAAAMMMMMMMEEEEEENNNNNNN I said now AAAAAAAMMMMMMMEEEEEENNNNNNN Old time gospel...Lemme get one from the choir. Hmm - Maybe a little too much communion wine after the pie course, but happy turkey day anyway. Paul & Paula
  19. Yeah, seems to me there is even a Law about that...
  20. If you feel the need to have a cutoff switch, check out West Marine (I know, trucks don't float). They have a pretty decent selection of switches and most of that is high quality. Just pay attention to your wire/cable sizes and you should be fine.
