  1. We all have our standards. I can't fault a business for having theirs. They'll survive without my money.
  2. The Black Hills are beautiful and there is much to see and do. I would caution you to be aware of the first half of August in the Black Hills. That's when the whole area is overrun with motorcycles and their riders. May be difficult to find a place to stay or to get into attractions like Rushmore, Crazy Horse, etc. Sturgis Bike Week is officially Aug 5-14, but bikers will be in the area before and after that.
  3. I would guess that most toads come in at under 5,000 lbs.
  4. Good deal. Can you also hot spot from your tablet?
  5. If your tablet is running Android, this may help. https://duckduckgo.com/?t=ffsb&q=how+to+set+apn+on+android+tablet&atb=v320-2&ia=web
  6. You may have to go into your settings and change the APN. I'm not familiar with the Asus tablet so don't know how to do it on your machine.
  7. I can only answer with my own experience. I lived full time in a fiberglass fifth wheel. I waxed my unit twice a year with Meguiars Premium Marine Wax, including the decals. After about 7 years, the decals were really looking bad and starting to crack, especially on one side. At that time, I started using 303 on the decals after waxing the whole trailer. The decals seemed to not deteriorate any more after that for the next five years I owned the coach. My conclusion was/is that using 303 is better on the decals.
  8. Pretty sad when a guy can't take a little midnight skinny dip without the campground host calling the authorities on him.
  9. Interesting. Michigan coastline is not considered USA coastline? Years ago, I was told that Arizona had more shoreline per capita than any other State. I don't know the difference between coastline and shoreline.
  10. Not necessarily. If the thieves have an iPhone, it will report the location of the device. Going down the highway, if the thieves pass a vehicle or get passed by a vehicle with an iPhone in it, the location will be reported. May not be the ultimate answer, but still has some potential usefulness for little money.
  11. GPS is just a tool. Like any tool, it requires a minimum of skill and common sense to use.
  12. I generally agree. However, about fifteen years ago I bought a 30' water hose from the RV Filter Store with stainless fittings which is rated at 200 psi so that I could mount my pressure regulator and filters in a box in the RV basement. Hose wasn't cheap, but it's the only one I've had to buy and will probably outlive me. They no longer offer stainless fittings, but still offer the superior quality hose with brass fittings and rated at 200 psi.
  13. Yes. ON EDIT: Those other devices will still recognize each hotspot separately, not sure what you would gain by making the passwords identical except it might make them easier to remember.
  14. This is the method I use also. I do not agree with your second sentence though. This doesn't get all the water out though. There will still be water in the line between the fresh water tank and pump, in the pump, and in the line between the pump and the main house lines.
  15. And, when exactly did he plan to use the bear spray and side arm?
  16. They're catching up. My cardiologist, dermatologist, ophthalmologist, and primary all use texts and emails to bill and remind of appointments. Only my dentist and ENT do not. All my auto, homeowners, and medical insurance is handled through emails.
  17. I'm somewhat familiar with them. They are all larger than my iPhone when opened to use. the Samsung and Moto running Android are both much more expensive also.
  18. I was a diehard Android fan for many years. Mostly used affordable Moto phones which always did everything I wanted them to do. I was using a Moto G5 and decided to buy a new phone. All the Android phones I looked at were huge, even Moto. I use a phone for a phone, not a tablet or computer. I make calls and send texts and sometimes check the weather, don't need no phablet. Anyway, I bought the iPhone SE 2nd Gen, which is small but capable. It has the same processor as the iPhone 11, so is super quick and I even use it for photos occasionally. It seems Apple is the only one which cares to build smaller phones now. They now have the SE 3rd Gen, which just came out with iPhone 13 processor. You can get it at Walmart on ATT or Verizon for $250. The iPhone 13 is just a tiny bit larger, and the iPhone 13 Mini is smaller than both with a larger screen than the SE. It took a couple of weeks to learn the iPhone, and it's not as versatile as the Androids, but I really like it. And, as Apples fans always say, "it just works".
  19. And, if you're unfortunate enough to have certain types of cancer, platinum in your veins.
  20. Just curious, where can I get an OEM Windows key for $20? Thanks.
  21. I got a notice from Google a couple of weeks ago that gmail would no longer work with email programs which didn't sign in through Google. I've been using Windows Live Mail for about 15 years, before that used Outlook Express. Neither will work in a few weeks (forgot the deadline). So, I have started using Thunderbird on my Windows machine. It works great and is very versatile, can set it up to look just like Windows Live Mail. Thunderbird will let you set up your gmail account as either POP or IMAP. During setup, it goes directly to Google and authorizes so from then on works wonderfully. Same for yahoo mail.
  22. Some people just have to comment on every thread, even when their knowledge is sometimes limited to internet searches.
  23. Yep, it's beginning to make it very annoying to own a phone. During election season, I get dozens of them, very irritating and at all hours. I think it is very rude and inconsiderate. I don't know what makes people think they have a right to intrude on others in such a way. To me, spammers are one of the lowest life forms. If they want to espouse their political ideology, let them set up a table on a street corner with a sign inviting political discussion. I don't even have an issue if they want to stand on a soap box on a corner and preach their beliefs, at least I can avoid them if I wish to. If they want to sell me something, let them set up a business phone line and advertise their wares. That way I can ignore them if I choose.
