  1. At that age, condition is everything. Go to Carvana, Carmax, Kelly Blue Book, etc. and see what they will give you for it. You should be able to get at least 20-25% more for it to an individual.
  2. I had warranty work done on both my waste tanks. I warned them that both tanks were at least half full. They replied "no big deal, we've got to flush them both before we work on them". No charge for any of the work done.
  3. Do they crack when a summer rain comes up?
  4. No offense, but don't you think location might be important. Just start with what country it's in. 😎
  5. Mine did not. I would be concerned that a small bubble while sitting in your driveway could become a large bubble at 60 mph. I saw a new fifth wheel yesterday rolling down the road with the membrane ballooned out to 2' high.

    It's official

If you were a movie director, I'd fire you. So, how did the story end? Could he jackknife it without it hitting anything. I hate it when they don't show the ending.
  7. When I replaced my RV fridge, the "attention-getter" for me was: 1. Lower initial cost 2. Quicker cool down 3. More consistent temperatures To me, the only real benefit to the traditional gas absorption fridge is that it can operate on gas. That allows boondocking for those RV's with a lack of space for more and better battery power. If an RV has the space, you can buy several batteries and a good inverter for the difference in cost between a household compressor fridge and a gas absorption RV fridge. When my 8 cu ft RV fridge went out, replacement was over $3,000. I bought a 10 cu ft residential one from Home Depot for $300. Minor wood trimming, some hold down brackets, and closing off the outside vent is all that was required to do the replacement.
  8. I think he's saying that it's a pain in the butt to break camp, hitch up, and take the trailer down to get it inspected. Then, take it back home and set it up again.
  9. I don't think it hates you Jim. This just shows how we can be so wrong about our computer. Perhaps your computer is dyslexic, gender misidentified, has mommy problems, or just lacks self confidence. Have you tried a light dusting and a gentle touch of fragrance? A little understanding goes a long way. And, is it really so important that she/he knows how to spell, as long as he/she is getting the point across?
  10. Well, I'm glad I clicked on this thread. By reading the title, I thought someone was wanting us to quit eating beef again. 🙂
  11. Just what we need, one more entity tracking our whereabouts.
  12. RV, as you know I'm not a big "Kirk" fan. However, in this case I don't think he was referring to anyone here in this thread. I took it as a general reference to those who do whine. I've seen lot's of it on other forums and websites when dealing with this issue. I may have misinterpreted Kirk's intent, but I didn't see it as directed toward you.
  13. I'll breathe a little easier knowing that. I can't believe I just said that.
  14. I ordered my whole house system with panels and powerwalls about four years ago. Still waiting.
  15. Too many people writing computer code and too few writing music and literature.
  16. Location and price would be helpful to me.
  17. Thank goodness. Every time MS comes out with a features "upgrade", another two or three of my old programs stop working or get flaky and some of the "old" features I enjoyed go away. 🙂
  18. I had a cat which claimed my flower bed as it's toilet. That was some serious stink. I put a few moth balls in the bed and the cat quit using it. I may have just been lucky, but it might be worth a try.
  19. Thanks for responses. I was looking for those adapters but I guess I put the wrong search criteria in. Thanks Chad.
  20. I know many of you have towed a Wrangler behind your motorhomes. I've got a couple of questions. I'm about to buy a 2008 Wrangler X 2 door. First, can a towbar be attached to the D-ring brackets on the front bumper of the Wrangler? I already have a Blue Ox Ascent. Are there adapters made to use the existing brackets on the bumper without having to install base plates? Or, can someone recommend an inexpensive towbar made for use on those brackets? Second, what is involved in installing a four wire harness into the existing wiring on the front of the Wrangler to control tail and brake lights and turn signals? Or, is it best just to use one of those magnetic setups you can buy already made up for the purpose? Thanks.
  21. If you put a baggy over the end before wrapping in tape, the tape will be much easier to come off when it needs to.
