  1. Lyndee, the amount of gas in the tank has nothing to do with the engine turning over. As far as fuel, I put Stabil Marine stabilizer in the tank when I fill it. You might want to check the voltage coming to the genny when trying to start it.
  2. US 95 is closed in Nevada due to the 6.5 earthquake early this AM. This article will show the mile marker. https://news3lv.com/news/local/64-earthquake-nevada-tonopah
  3. I just went to the link I posted and it takes me to the Billings paper with the article. The link that Darryl&Rita posted is the same release from the NPS.
  4. Here in Yuma, AZ. with a high Canadian snowbird population, I have seen several transactions of a Canadian tilted and licensed vehicle that has been purchased by a US citizen. All of them went thru an agent in Phoenix that does this business. It cost several bucks and time. All three stated if doing it over again, they would have sold it to a US citizen. Same the other way. Had a Canadian friend that would buy a US titled RV and he would have to "import" it into Canada ( Saskatchewan) He knew all the ins and outs and never had a problem because he had his ducks in a row when reaching the border. My suggestion is if titling and licensing it in US, avoid possible problems and purchase in the US. If the other way around, buy in Canada.
  5. Yellowstone isn't even open yet and there is an idiot all ready in full bloom! https://billingsgazette.com/outdoors/woman-who-illegally-entered-yellowstone-falls-into-thermal-feature-and-is-burned/article_caba7730-7d6b-5f15-a099-517d72c0a39c.html#tracking-source=home-top-story
  6. SKP099512, I realize it is going away, but by the same token it will save us a couple of bucks.
  7. As a Direct customer for years with DNS and before that with Dish until they got caught with their hand in the cookie jar and had their DNS taken away by the FCC, I could care less about locals, not going to call to change locals when I move. The DNS is great because if on the west coast you can see programing from the east coast at reasonable times. And for sports, it hard to beat. If I can get the locals on OTA ok, but sure won't spend but a couple of moments trying to tune them in. And unless something drastic happens we will just stay with Direct.
  8. A heavily used route for Yuma/Wash. snowbirds.
  9. Great pictures and the music, outstanding!
  10. I have had sunscreen material on our slide covers for 17 years. It was A&E factory material that started to give up after 14 years. I had a shop sew up new ones using the sunscreen material and would never want a solid awning material. It is not nearly "wind affected" and yes, it does let water come down on the slide roof. No different than folks that don't have toppers.
  11. Kirk's last sentence says it all. Enforcement in the Yuma, AZ. area by what I see doesn't amount to much. Snowbirding drives the economy here. Also with many contractors in this area building the "Wall", they sure aren't going to change their registration. A number of years ago, South Carolina decided to crack down on out of state plates that seemed to be "over staying" the limit. When the hotel, restaurant, beach industries in the Grand Strand area (Myrtle Beach) got word about the enforcement that was the end of the enforcement in that area. High school and college kids working the summer sure aren't going to change their stuff.
  12. fpmtngal, the Yuma dealers should know all the ins and outs of what is needed. I would like to know how many out of state sales they have here Sept-May. When we are up north during the summer there is so many license plate frames of dealers in Yuma. I think the winter visitors have too much time on their hands and go to dealerships and get nabbed.
  13. What I'd like to see is reciprocal charges. We lived near the Maryland/Penna. state line in Penna. Penna. state parks are free for picnicking and a couple of other things. Maryland charged for anything in their state parks. So on weekends the PA. parks would be flooded with Maryland residents. As for fishing and hunting licenses, do the same thing. If PA. charges out of state people $96.00 for an out of state fishing licenses and a PA. resident wants to buy an out of state fishing license in Michigan, make it reciprocal, get the check book out for $96.00!
  14. We just got our notice too. Typical, will bill past the cutoff date then refund, gotta love it! Hate to see it go away as we have had it since the 90's.
  15. mousepad, all the RV refers I have worked on have had a 3/8" flare.
  16. Randy A and others on the HDT sight, keep the projects coming. I'm not an HDTer, but I sure do like reading and looking at them. Myself, I got projected out a number of years ago.

  18. We normally don't leave our RV lot in Yuma, AZ. until the last week of April or the first week of May. We play it by ear. When things start breaking open we will head north and our usual places of camping unless they aren't open and then we will just go another way. Since we don't make reservations, flexibility works. But I will say "I've got hitch itch"!
  19. Kirk Wood, I'm sorry! I have no idea why I typed Kirk Wilson, it is a guy back in Penna, near where we lived. Brain fade.
  20. We aren't interested in the position, but have been in attendance for talks there. Just an outstanding area! Kirk and Pam Wilson, on this site, volunteered a number of years ago down the road at Harriman State Park, and I'm sure he would say the same thing.

  22. Our clothes bar in our fiver is slotted and we never have had a problem. But in our travel trailer, we sure did. It was the usual round pipe type. I simply took a piece of flat aluminum bar 1" wide and cut the length equal to the pipe. Then on each end of the flat bar, I pop riveted a broom handle snap clamp. Snapped it over the top of the pipe. When wanting to get clothing on a hanger off the pipe, we just simply turned the flat bar to the back of the pipe and the hangers lifted out easily.
  23. chirakawa, https://www.azcentral.com/picture-gallery/news/local/arizona-environment/2020/04/05/farmworkers-harvesting-vegetables-yuma-amid-coronavirus-pandemic/2948216001/ Don't know where that outfit is you reported, but the San Luis, Los Algodones borders are open. In fact on I-8 this afternoon, the reader board even gave the times that the Lukeville border crossing is open. Day workers coming across daily and the lettuce wagons are on the move to the cooling houses here in Yuma. Soon moving to Salinas, CA. for that season. How do you hoard perishable veggies?
  24. On Monday March 30 diesel was $1.97 a gallon at Sam's Club in Bullhead City, AZ. Unleaded was $2.14 a gallon. Fry's finally dropped to $2.69 for diesel this week In Yuma.
