  1. "Fine China", paper, is your friend. If making casseroles use throw away aluminum pans.' If using a crock pot use crock pot liners.
  2. I sent you two a PM. I don't believe this is the case, Agesilaus. The BOF's are a volunteer deal, so maybe she is out having fun like us.
  3. No, it isn't dead. I get the news letter from Judy Wilson frequently. She could be out of a service area. In fact I just emailed her several weeks ago about a situation in Yuma, AZ. and she was back to me the same day.
  4. The latest Escapees news letter has an article on the possibility of Congress ordering the removal of networks from satellite (reauthorization of Section 119). It includes a form to send to the Texas Representatives to quash it.
  5. The Michelin LTX has been changed to another tire. I believe it may be "Premier". The "new" tire is the same as the LTX. But the LTX had a 70,000 mile tread warranty. The "new" tire, the tread warranty has been reduced to 50,000. No wonder why, as I was one on cashed in on the warranty thru Discount Tire. At the time I did this I had numerous tire shops that were up front with what was going on.
  6. Since RV Park owners and I are very, very rarely on the same wave length. I really doubt this scenario even took place!
  7. Having been to Myrtle Beach for years in September, we only got run out twice. First time was a beautiful Wednesday. I went up to the CG store for the paper. On my way back a guy who I talked to every AM was packing up. I knew he wasn't due out for several days and asked him what he was doing. He was from the Charlotte area and said they had just put on a voluntary evacuation. He asked me if we had ever been evacuated and I said "no". He told me if you leave under the voluntary situation "you will drive out just like any other time, if you wait for mandatory evacuation all hell breaks loose". So within an 2 hours we were on our way further inland. A friend we had gotten to know at the CG from the St. Louis area said he was going to wait. He named me "throw and go Bob' as I just threw stuff in the truck. Next season here he comes in, stops his rig and said "I need to talk to you". After getting setup he comes over. "If that same situation ever occurs again. make sure I am on your bumper" He waited for the mandatory order. Left the CG at 8 AM, got to Camping World at 8 PM that evening, all of about 18 miles. Next morning got going at 6 AM and finally got something to eat at Knoxville, TN. All the restaurants were stripped out etc. There is only a couple of ways in and out of MB.
  8. I got mine at local propane suppliers when I had the hoses made up. I think they are set up for the very low pressure which comes from the regulator. Mine has a ball valve shut off with a handle on it. The handle will not open if the quick disconnect is not in the fitting properly and the whole way.
  9. We have fulltimed for 16 years with Corelle. The cabinet is lined with "slip stop" or facsimile. Everything in the cabinet fills in against each other and we have never had a problem.
  10. Don't know the particular size you need but if Saliums has the size needed they are getting excellent reviews. I sort of watch what the horse and cattle trailer people use in Montana and Idaho. There are a heck of a lot of Saliums on those wheels.
  11. https://www.pennlive.com/news/2019/08/winnebago-ordered-to-pay-couple-500k-for-problem-plagued-motorhome-in-federal-warranty-dispute.html
  12. Seems to me it would depend on which floor plan is involved.
  13. dirtyboots, there is Frankie's RV repair that is mobile. We just spent a month at US 93 RV at Twin and he was in and out of there several times. There is also another mobile guy that was in and out of there that has a white pickup with a tall cap over the bed that just has "RV Repair" lettered on the cap . I don't know about the other two but Intermountain is located along I-84. Try calling US 93 RV park and they maybe able to give you info on the two I mentioned.
  14. Vern, I think they have reservations at Montana Basecamp just off US 93 S. of Kalispell.
  15. We have had toppers that also serve as window awnings which Carefree discontinued several years ago. Argo, in his post has the key, make sure it is sunscreen material. It won't pool water. Our original fabric lasted 14 years and this is full timing, so the slides are out 99.9% of the time.
  16. Rent. There are several outfits to rent from. I know nothing about Outdoorsy, but beside Cruise America, is Roadbear, El Monte and to some extent Juicy. If you were to buy, you must remember that you will be responsible for repairs or breakdowns thus deducting time from your vacation. If the rental quits, the rental outfit will bring you another unit.
  17. Is the drain tube connected to the fitting on the refer? Where is the end of the drain tube? Is there an ice maker in refer? Just several things that quickly come to mind.
  18. New Jeep Gladiator Pickup. One just came in the park behind a tag axle MH.
  19. Also, I believe it is called Mountain View, which is owned by the same owners as Lasalle. On Rt. 40 between Columbia Falls and Whitefish. Just west of the US 2 turnoff.
  20. Since it is when you flush, could it be coming inside from the roof if roof vents (14"x 14") are open? WE usually have our vents open and sometimes when flushing, if we have a fantastic fan running, it will bring in odors from the tank vent.
  21. mr.cob, Miller Insurance is in Portland and is a broker. We don't have an HDT but our fulltimer policy is thru them. It might be the one you were thinking of.
  22. maggie blair, Starlight Solar (Larry) on Shari Ave in Yuma. I talked to him last winter and I thought he was changing his business. I bought all my solar stuff from him about 7 years ago. I did my own installation. Also out at Senators Wash (BLM land) there is a solar business out there in the winter. Can't think of the name. They usually start to advertise about the 1st of November. Another thing to keep in mind, there is no sales tax on solar products in AZ. There is a solar vendor in Phoenix that is on the Escapees vendor list. http://www.starlightsolar.com/starlight_solar/index.html
  23. Not a member of the Class, but I sure liked his posts.
  24. There is no way I'd buy sight unseen and I'm not even talking the condition. Don't know if you have RVed before but if you are going to fulltime in it, remember floor plan, floor plan, floor plan. Could look like the best thing since sliced bread. You will be it 24-7, any glitch in the floor plan will raise it's ugly head and only gets worse over time!
