Hi Gang

I hope some of you remember us. Just haven't been posting much. I wanted to let you know our new Space Craft 5er should be ready for delivery in two weeks. We are going regularly to see the progress. It is nice to talk things over with the people that are doing the hands-on build. We have been waiting for 11 months to get to this point.

If someone can explain how to do it, we will post build pictures.

Safe travels

OR at the side of the post box there is a box that says "more options" and at the bottom of the box there is a "paperclip" for attachments.

Of course, we remember you! I bet you're really getting hitch-itch and most of us know that feeling well.

We just landed in the Dallas, TX area. Boy, has this place changed since we lived here. Easy, simple little freeways are no longer easy and simple. There are overpasses, underpasses, express lanes and so much more. We thought we knew this area. Now I'm going to say we were lying about Fort Worth. I bet we'll be better off the freeways checking out our old "haunts" than using it. Freeways closer to Dallas are getting ready to get a make-over too. Hopefully, they won't start until we get out of here. Eek! I also heard a rumor that Colter's BBQ is no longer here and neither is Catfish and Company. :(:(

Wanderin, if you were interested, Cedar Hill SP tends to use a good number of volunteers which might work for you if you wanted to spend longer in that area at some point. Considering where it is located it is nice. I volunteer there about 7 winters but have not been there in at least 4-5 years.

Thanks, Bigjim, but we only plan on being around here until about the 2nd of April. Two weeks of that we hope to find a place to store the motorhome. That's part of the agenda tomorrow. I get hitch itch pretty often. Just ask folks on this forum. I'm not sure how to kick that disease so not sure I could settle down and work camp. Maybe someday... maybe. Thanks for the input and I really do like this area -- lots of great memories. So, where you work camping now or ??

I've been working on something or the other all day and didn't seem to accomplish much of anything. I didn't even get my walk in. I did get a waffle for breakfast at Ihop this morning though. and I got the case padding and dust cloth all done for my scope and it's in the little trailer now just waiting for me to head for dark skies. I played with my sewing machine for a while. The automatic needle threader wouldn't work at first. I found that the hook was not hitting the eye of the needle. It was going to one side. I did a little bending job on it and it works fine now. For how long, remains to be seen. I haven't been able to see the comet for a couple of nights because of cloudy skies. The sky is clear tonight but I've been busy in the rig and haven't gone out to look. I take a peek before I go to bed.

Not workamping at the moment but may be in about a month. The problem is I make friends and end up going back a lot. I haven't been in Dallas area in a while but need to be there in about Oct. plus I will need to renew drivers license in by the end of Oct. but not in Dallas area, some where smaller and easier. Last time was in Texarkana and prior was in Livingston. I can remember that area before it got humongous.

Clear sailing all the way from Overton, Nevada to Wells, Nevada. 396 miles. Boring, boring, boring. We are at the Flying J again. Tomorrow Boise, then La Grande, then Tulalip and back to BC.

We used to do long days but prefer the shorter ones. However, even though we plan for a short day it turns too often into a much longer one. Safe travels.

we were planning on leaving El Paso today but scheduled an appointment with saftelite glass to fix a few chips/cracks in the windshield... suppose to rain here today too so another good reason to add a day. We are at the Sunland Park Casino and Racetrack. They have 8 spots with W/E for 15/nite overlooking the track. Get to watch the ponies warm up every morning our our windows...

Sounds like a really great site you have. You'll be entertained for free even though you're paying for your nightly stay --- but not much. However, we have you beat for the moment. We're paying $10 a night and tomorrow we start getting even with you as it will be $15 a night. I think that's pretty cheap for a big city.

Still planning on catching up with you in Bonita Springs. Haven't got that eraser out yet!

Hey everyone. We are back in the USA. Hooooraaaay! What a trip. It finished strong for us. Just blocks from the KOA I clipped a curb making a right hand turn and ripped a gash in the sidewall of the rear tire. Got a new one already so we'll head for Phoenix tomorrow. I'm sure Tina will post some pictures of this adventure. Wow!

Welcome Home Jeff and Tina.

Today has been a bummer. Cloudy with a chilly wind and drizzle. I Got my Income tax off this morning so that's one thing off my mind. A friend came over and washed my windows for me. He wasn't gone more than 10 minutes when it started to rain. Oh Well at least the rain didn't have dust to turn into mud on the windows. I woke up this morning at 3:30 AM because my hips were aching like a tooth ache. I took a couple Tylenol and sat here in the dark drinking coffee until they finally took effect. I was able to get about a half hour of sleep then before the sounds of the world woke me up again. Clouds and rain are predicted for the rest of the week. Ugggg. I've about given up on taking my little trailer out for a spin before going to SC to see my GG Niece. I couldn't see anything, with my telescope, with all these clouds anyway. Last night I did get to see the comet again. It's right near the 4th star from the bottom of Cassiopeia. I did feel a little better after I met one of our lady LOW members who is 92 and still driving her Class C. I looked at one of the cowgirls across the table and said "See I am too a young man" It about brought the house down.

Well, we had a big day. We drove through all the new freeways and construction in Dallas. I'm glad we don't have to do that again!! At least we're now positioned to head out when we leave. "Go east, young man, go east" . That's what I kept telling Terry even tho' he's no longer a young man.

Where are you heading next? Did you find somewhere to store the MH? We are slowly getting settled here in Williamsburg. This is a very small campground where its mostly members. We do allow overnighters, but from what I understand, the members stay here most of the time. We have a small site down in one of the areas where a lot of the members have permanent seasonal sites and we had some trouble getting level in the back so they brought us a couple of loads of gravel and that helped. But so far, everyone seems real friendly so I am hoping it works out. Close to daughter so we can spend some time together.

The Dallas Elks will let us store it on site as long as want. Not sure when we'll get there but maybe May. Jerry and Janice are thinking about driving up to Shreveport to meet us. They're working on their house and may decide to take a break. I hope so. We were just going to stay one night in Shreveport but if they come up we'll probably hang around longer. Who knows where we'll end up. We have no plans or reservations anyplace. I know we'll have to make some over Memorial Day though.

After Shreveport, on to Vicksburg and Meridian.

Just stoppin in to say Hi. We are gate guarding for a couple of months than heading to Virginia to see Ed's sister. Sorry we missed Quartsite this year. We are hoping to make it next year. We still have our bird that Jerry and Janice found. She is about as stubborn as Ed.

Thanks for the "Welcome Back" guys. Still haven't found a mirror to replace the one broken by the on coming truck. Crazy trip for sure. Lots of stories and met some great people too. It is a different world down there. All traffic signs are just a suggestion and the road is sooo narrow. LOL. No kidding. Everyone was very happy to be back in the USA.

Got to be in San Antonio by 3/24 then we'll be parked for a month to catch our breath.

Now that was a nice bird, I can't believe anything could be as stubborn as Ed. Let us know when you head east and maybe we can get together.
