  1. We do have an opportunity to meet up with folks every once in a while. I still enjoy the planning and still love the travel. I tell Terry that we need to do this as long as we can. I do miss the people. We've been kind of stagnant the last few years going back to the same places but hope to change that again. We will see. Take care and I'll even try to post more often!! Terry, Jeri & Buck
  2. Buck? Well, that's a story in itself. Grandson is in the Navy. Grandson wanted a dog. We told him being in the Navy was no place to have a dog. A year later we get a call from him saying "Help" and needing us to take Buck. We told him to fly Buck from Virginia where he was stationed to Arizona. Well, bulldogs can't fly because of their nose. So, we flew to Virginia rented a van and drove back to Arizona. That was in 2016. We still have Buck, the English Bulldog.
  3. So, I haven't posted here for a mighty long time but I did just post on the 2008-2009 class. Glad to connect again and hope all are well. We traded, swaped, bought and then traded, swaped and bought again. We also just sold our lake cabin in Washington last summer. This next winter we're going to try something new. They do say once you slow down the rocking chair might get you. Not sure I'm ready to do that as long as we don't have to. Take care all. Miss the group and miss the gatherings
  4. Wowsie! And this class forum still lives! Well, it is tweaking by. So much has happened since the last time I posted. I'm not sure when that was so before I go on, I probably need to check. Hoping that everyone who is around is enjoying whatever they're doing and life is good for them. Terry, Jeri and Buck (not sure if Buck was ever introduced either).
  5. So glad to hear you are safe, Linda and Dave. I sure have thought about you a lot lately. Stay home and stay out of town then.
  6. I guess I'll bring this one up too. It's been a might long time but we're still kicking around someplace. I just posted on the other forum. It too had worked it's way down. Hope everyone is safe and well. This has definitely been a year we'll remember! (Linda and Dave -- How you doing in Minneapolis?) (Steve and Carol - You still heading to Chimacum?)
  7. Jeff & Tina -- Hope to see you when you're around. Yes, I've been busier this year than I've ever been. Need to learn to keep my mouth shut when it comes to volunteering! We finally cleared a night for dinner with Jim and Sandie. It's so good to see our Escapee friends from way back when! We miss you all! Haven't had time to blog ... not sure I will much in the future but maybe. Joe keeps reminding me to get with it tho'. I also forget to get on the forum ... old age? We're looking forward to Christmas and we'll be spending it with the Kids in Washington. You all know my email (I think) so if you're in the area send me a text ... MERRY CHRISTMAS!
  8. So sad. So, Terry and I met up with Joe and Sharon yesterday. What fun! I love meeting up with the ol' gang (not OLD gang). We sat and chatted for hours at the Chimacum Cafe which is just down the road from the Dwyer's summer place. Love Port Townsend and especially when the weather is gorgeous like it has been. Timing is everything.

  10. We definitely have good memories with great people. Such a fun time. I'd do it again. So glad to have met the people we did and we're all so lucky to have been able to have a life on the road. Take care of yourselves!
  11. It's been a little over ten years since a bunch of RVers actually met in the Quartzsite desert. Remember that time? Then, we met again and again and again. Between our gatherings who knew where any of us would be? We were here and there and just about everywhere. No one knew if they'd run into another until Dave Sand stepped up and created a map for us. We all had our passwords and were so good at pinpointing our location just in case another one in the group got close. None of us wanted to miss getting together for a lunch or dinner with a new found RV friend. What fun we had and what great times! Thank you Dave for that wonderful map you created that kept us all close. Dave created that map and then I embedded it in an easy to remember (I hoped) domain name. It was RVClass2008.com. Well, this has been in use for those ten years but it's about to come down. Folks are slowing down (obviously) and the use of the map has dwindled. Thus, I've decided not to renew the website for another year .... Not sure when it'll disappear off that site but since I removed my credit card, it'll be soon. Hopefully, you'll continue to travel and with Facebook around, we can all keep up a little there if not here! 'Tis life on the road.

  13. I got a text this morning from Sandie telling me I needed to check in. She's right. I used to get emails when someone posted on this site but it doesn't happen now. So, I tend to forget to do that. Still love the group. Still wish we could all get together at least one more time ... and, why not? Why can't we? We had a great group or rather we still do have a great group. It's just that we don't get to see each other often. However, that doesn't mean out of sight, out of mind !
  14. Merry Christmas everyone! Hope Santa treats you right!
  15. Linda - I don't think there is any need to apologize to anyone! And, I'm not sure who (or if) anyone was offended. I think we all understand wanting our "own" time as much also having time to socialize a little or a lot. We enjoyed both of you. I think we all need to recharge our batteries every once in a while!! I sure know I do! Take care of yourselves!!
  16. This forum used to send notifications to my email when folks posted. Not anymore and I even had to look up my password for this. We're in Casa Grande and we have certainly been busy. It's been a constant roller coaster ride. However, we can vouch for Steve's BBQ. He fixed us fabulous ribs! I/We may be in Kerrville in April but have a granddaughter getting married in May so heading back to Washington then.
  17. Justin's just been transferred to Texas for a few months before he heads to Japan. So, he's not in Virginia anymore. Come visit in Arizona!
  18. Love the picture of the Lavins. Nice seeing them and sure do miss them!
  19. So excited you are still enjoying the "good" life. Hopefully, you'll end up deciding that Arizona is where you're going to spend the winter because we'd love to spend some time with you!!
  20. I think Jeff is right. FB has kind of taken over and keeping track of folks is fairly easy there. We've been pretty much glued to Washington state this summer taking care of business ... doctors, kids, grandkids, etc. However, I must admit my feet are starting to itch. May be heading to the beach this week (perhaps?). Hoping to do some cemetery hopping in Ohio next month and then Texas with cousins ( and Justin) in October. Probably won't head south until end of October or first of November, probably. That's my update.
