Ha Ha, Watch out you'll give away your age.

There are days when I'd like to give it away for a better one.

Today I feel like a little kid. Cooped up at home with a head cold and feeling whiny. The drug store will deliver my medicine but no one is making me chicken soup. I want! Stomp, stomp.

What you need is the garlic that is in the soup. Garlic soup is quite savory and very healthful. I do hope the nasty critters leave you soon.

If you realized how powerful your thoughts are, you would never again think a negative thought. ^_^

Thanks. I can get turkey rice soup here but not chicken noodle. Its just not the same. I wonder if I could get the kitchen to put some garlic in the turkey rice soup? But I think it's the broth that make chicken noodle soup work for colds and I know I can't get a good chicken broth here--it's all vegetable. Being on a low calorie eating plan makes all the tasty fats go away. But I've lost somewhere around 30 pounds this winter and they've reduced my blood pressure medicines twice so I can't complain too much. Now, if Davey had just not been generous enough to share his cold...

I read something a few years ago that it had been scientifically proven that the garlic is the ingredient in chicken soup that cuts the crud. I can attest to the benefits of garlic. I no longer eat animals, so when I do pick up a little cold, a bowl of garlic broth knocks it out quite quickly.

If you realized how powerful your thoughts are, you would never again think a negative thought. ^_^

Jack WHO? Ya I'm pretty sure you need some good ol Home made Chicken Noodle Soup. As a confirmed member of P.E.T.A. I can attest to the fact that it's the combination of the Chicken and the Garlic that does it's magic. Oh and a Water Glass full of Baaaaaaaaaaaaad Whiskey.

I think I need some of that chicken soup. I've had the blahs for the past couple days. Maybe it's because it has been cloudy, windy and rainy. The sun came out late this afternoon but now they say it going to turn cold again. 25 degrees for tomorrow night uggg. I want to complain about the heat not the cold. I've complained enough already about the cold. I only took half my walk today. I just got too sore. Oh well maybe this is the last of the cold blast for this year. I can dream can't I?

This reminded of when I was very young. My mom used to soak horehound drops in whiskey and would give them to us when we had sore throats. She would probably be reported to DSS if she tried to do that now.

No kidding, my step dad used to give us a teaspoon of straight Brandy. They would have both been in jail today. Wow, wonder if you can still buy horehound candy?

All those old remedies really worked. They tasted so bad we would stop complaining because we were afraid they would make us take more of it.

Either that or the liquor in the remedy made us not care anymore.

My thoughts, exactly, Linda. I seem to remember not caring that I had a sore throat.

I tried to cure the blahs today. I ordered a pare of 25x100mm binoculars. Now I've got the blahs for spending so much money. ;) It's going down into the 20s tonight. Where are those cowgirls when you really need them?

Sorry everyone has the "blahs".

Paul and I are pretty excited. We bought a lot to build a house on, here in Havasu. The only negative is that we'll have to be here while they build.....in the summer. eeeeeeew. 110* doesn't sound like fun.

Wrote a blog post about it, showing some pictures.....

Sounds great guys! After boating Havasu I can see a lot of fun times happening there. You found a nice piece of property to build on, and the house plans look like a nice open layout. We wish you good luck with your planning to make all this happen. We'll sure look foreword to seeing the finished castle!!

I claim dibs on one of the guest rooms! Just let me know when. And provide a ride from the Phoenix airport. I'll even house sit while you all go boating. :)

An oven is dry heat too. Air conditioning was a wonderful invention! We've spent many summers in Texas and Arizona. They'll do just fine with the lake nearby, swimming pools close and short trips to other places!

Thanks guys...

We don't plan on hanging around in the summer much, except this year because we'll be building. With both the camper and the trailer to use, we expect to be out and about. We'll be there most of the winter though, paying the big bucks to heat the pool and hot tub, no doubt. :)

Linda, Vegas is closer ;-)

Toni, I thought my reply was funny but I am not sure my daughter did! Still, she is thrilled that we will have a "home".

I've been as busy as Sue & Paul are going to be caring for that stick and brick. Caring for lawns or gardens cleaning swimming pools, painting etc. Makes me tired just thinking about it. I guess I've just been on the road too long. But I do hope they find a lot of happiness there. I did the same thing. I bought into a gated community thinking I'd use it as a home base. I built a house, got evolved with the recreation hall and started a square dance program and 33 years later when my wife passed away I finally made a clean break and hit the road again. I'll have to admit I have a lot of fond memories of that 33 years. Enjoy it while you can Sue and Paul.

I'm pretty well caught up with my work here. I'm waiting for things to arrive in the mail so I can finish all the jobs. They should get here this coming week. My appointment to get the trailer maintenance done is Tuesday. And I'm hoping I'll get the last 1099 in the mail Monday so I can get my taxes sent in. Then just maybe I'll be able to take the little trailer out camping for a few days before I have to start getting ready to go to SC.

When you head east, plan on spending the night in Beaumont, Tx so we can meet up with you. If that is not possible, let's try to meet and have a meal together.

What part of SC are you heading to? Maybe we'll see you there. We figure we'll be in Deming on the 15th depending on the weather, of course.

I'm going to Columbia SC. So I'll be taking I-20 across Texas. Shreveport is about the closest I'll get. I avoid Houston at all cost. I hate that town. I stayed in Highlands for 6 weeks one time and I think I spent 5 of those tied up in traffic. I-10 is a nightmare all the way from Katy to Baytown. I-20 through Dallas and Fort Worth isn't much better but at least it skirts the south side of both cities and misses most of the traffic. I'm going to be moving right along on this trip so I can get back west before the hot sticky weather sets in back there. This will be my last trip east. I've already told my nieces that after this trip if they want to see me they will have to come west. I'll take a rain check on that dinner date until our trails cross some where in the west. When I get back from this trip I plan to see how high in altitude I can go and still breath fairly well. I have to find somewhere cooler than Deming for the summers.

GANG:

It would have been a pretty nice day if the wind hadn't come up. No star gazing tonight we are socked in but good. I can't remember what all I did today but I must have stayed busy because I never found time to take a Steve. I did work in the shop this morning but the afternoon got away from me somehow.
