I agree Bruce. When I provide links/evidence to support my/our positions it usually shuts everything down and silence is golden. I have had very good luck so far with a Firman 2000 I bought at Costco for 359.99 complete with RV socket that can be used for 15 amp plug with adapter and parallel cables. Also has a USB socket and 110 to 120 Volt socket. Sound level around 49 to 57db. Oil port easy to access. Spark plug on top of unit. Thanks again RV. I have upgraded for free and without glitches two older laptops to WIN 10 including an old Acer Vista. I still have one WIN 7 and WIN 8.1(new) that work just fine without trouble. I now have a brand new Lenovo WIN 10 I Core 7 for daily use. Collected these laptops over many years and have used all of them as desktops for everything. Beware for those not in the know. Several years ago I hooked up a portable 3000W generator to my TT, fired it up and immediately tripped my GFCI breaker. After disconnecting gen set and trouble shooting only some items would come back on line with shore power and others not respond. Big pain in the ***. P.S. I sold my gently used TT for half of what I paid for it to a Burning Man RV dealer in Reno and he was aware of several maintenance issues to be resolved. Maybe someone saw my TT at Burning Man. According to previous "so called experts" the USA should be experiencing rampant runaway inflation by now but it hasn't happened YET in spite of all the massive government spending for many many years. I now pay 60.00 per month for internet only from Spectrum with average of 103 mbs and often 137 to 160 mbs. Just for grins I have at least 5 laptops of different sizes from very new Lenovo I Core 7 to old Acer Vista that I easily upgraded to WIN 10 and it still works great. Also 8.1 dell, refurbished Dell upgraded to WIN 10 and refurbished Lenovo WIN 7. All work without flaw and two old ones upgraded to WIN 10 with no glitches and were free upgrades. Collected these over a period of 11 or 12 years so I am laptop poor. Before that I had an Apple I Mac for 3 years and failed me on day after the 3 year warrant expired. The south Texas nuclear power plant is also located in the area and is a very hardened facility but many experts still worry about it during a powerful hurricane. I have also flown offshore from Freeport, Port O Conner, Sabine Pass, Galveston and old Pearland airfields so remember the inland area well. Also lived in Lake Jackson for a few months. Thats right durango Angleton is only 16 plus direct miles from coast and 13 miles from large Bastrop and Christmas bays that are part of larger bay system.
