  1. Sad Facts. If the electric grid goes down for whatever reason not only will be no charging for EV vehicles but the gas pumps will not operate. Everyone will be in same pot of soup.
  2. Thanks for all the hybrid replies and info. May be one in my future.
  3. Has anyone owned and had good luck with a hybrid vehicle???
  4. Due to my over eating I gave up on the casino buffets a long time ago. Not easy for me to do. Still go for entertainment.
  5. 50 years ago my mother and grandmother found a beautiful spot on edge of north rim while sight seeing in the west in small car. No other people, cars or RVs and no paved roads or parking areas or guard rails or stone walls. The small dirt road dead ended at very edge. Nothing. They were all alone and had the magnificent view all to themselves. Very brave female travel pioneers. I wish I could have been with them. Cheers For The New Year.
  6. Expired post. Cheers to the New Year
  7. Maybe they or him saw the camera and left as they knew you were alert and on to them. Hopefully they left in a huff. Good show iceman. If more people put out cameras on their RVs this could help reduce number the of culprits. They consider it mean fun sport to do this and I would consider it fun sport to catch them on photo or video when not fishing, hiking or boating, etc. I learned a long time ago to bully the bullies as they easy to spot most times. Turning the other cheek only results in a sore red face. Cheers For The New Year
  8. I saw the great realistic movie "We Were Soldiers" and wish it could have been produced in the 70s or 80s but better late than never. Cheers
  9. RV I served as Army Warrant Officer pilot in 1970 in Vietnam on medevac/Dustoff missions. Here are a few photos of me there. Thank you for your service.
  10. No but I know former Army medevac pilots who became doctors and pharmacist after their time in the nam war.
  11. I agree with you RV. Cheers for the New Year
  12. As I am covered by both medicare, AARP and Veterans health care I am not worried but am curious as to the cost of the vaccine shot if anyone has actually had to pay for one. I do not know the cost of other vaccination shots received over the years as they were covered by the above. For many reasons government websites are often not complete or provide confusing/conflicting info on many issues. Just curious.
  13. Sometimes even Google search results can be confusing as there maybe be multiple official websites covering the same issue with conflicting info. For many reasons government websites are often not complete or provide confusing/conflicting info on many issues. Please share with us your final accurate search results. I and others would be most appreciative. People do use forums such as this one as they often receive everyday useful and accurate information on a variety of topics as you well know as a long time participant who has benefited from such forums as I and others have and we value the info from experienced people such as yourself or there would be no need for forums such as these RV forums. On important topics such as this it is best to confirm as best as possible any info given using a variety of sources including Google search as you say. My reply was just one possible source and I feel confident the OP has done a common Google search. The OP appeared to want the advice of others who have actually been thru the recent process of actually traveling to Mexico in an RV IMHO and I steered him in one possible direction in effort to be of assistance to a fellow RVer. Every adult using any forum understands information given may or may not be up to date or accurate but is a starting point. Many persons such as I like to get a variety of personal experiences and info from others for our info and sometimes social interaction. Cheers
  14. I don't know about Mexico but on another forum I was told people traveling to Philippines had to quarantine for 14 days inside a medical tent and it was not pleasant. Hopefully you can find reliable source of info. There is another well used RV forum that has a Mexico Travel section. Give them a buzz.
  15. I agree Birdman and Iceman. Still here and everywhere. Cheers
  16. Thanks Rich&Silva for your comment. Happy Trails and Camping
  17. A memorial headstone in Texas honoring the Vietnam veterans who have died from many diseases due to exposure to Vietnam Agent Orange toxin in the Vietnam War. According to one report as many as 300,000 have died prematurely since the war from the several cancers, heart disease, Diabetes, Parkinson and others, etc. The American chemical Dow/DuPont gift that keeps on giving. There are naysayers and disbelievers who showed themselves on another forum and do not believe in the Congress/VA benefit of the doubt doctrine for veterans. /
  18. Although this story has no impact on me a few of you may find this useful information and I do not assume that anyone even uses this service. Regards Bill Kindle Lending Library to close on January 4th 2021 - Good e-Reader
  19. I hear you packrat and agree completely. If I lost all internet I could easily survive as I did before because I spend a great deal of time in outdoor hiking, camping, fishing and kayaking as before with no internet or remote phone service. I have well over a hundred of my favorite DVD movies and read lots of paper back books I still have so can do without my kindle reader. Let th. I am 74 and had none of this until around 2003. We two are survivors.
