Plenty of wire available, dash comes apart very straightforward. Remove the faux wood trim remove the torx screws and pull forward. If I recall most of the plugs were labeled. I moved all the switches closer to the steering wheel, and placed the 7 inch monitor in the space to the right, just like everyone else has. Might have taken an hour start to finish.

Suggest not mounting where the Jackalopee will be in direct sunlight. Mine warped slightly, but still works fine. I do recommend it as it made the conversion so easy. The instructions are fantastic and it made the set up seemless.

I agree with Linda, the wife and I have seen several. We do live in Florida, and have traveled as far west as Colorado and South Dakota. We see at least one other HDT on every trip. I suspect this would also work in FL. They will not convert a title from Commercial too Motor Home with a load bearing hitch, but with a MH title from another state, I suspect they would just do it.

Might you be willing to elaborate at "I get turned down at most parks"? I have not had this experience. When we call ahead to make reservations, we state we have a big truck, mention it is the size of a UPS truck. This has worked every where we have tried it, this method was suggested by someone on this forum(thanks to whomever this was). We had one Buffoon in Georgia mention that we should have let them know it was a "Semi" truck as they would have told us no, due to weight. They did let us stay. My friend had his 42 foot motorhome, that by itself weighs more than my truck,trailer and toad combined. Funny they did not say anything about his weight? Michael

Have you spotted any black smoke out if the stack? Does it look as though the turbo is original?

Have you checked to find a used one and just replace it? It can bench shacked for proper operation, by applying sir to the inlet port.
