  1. I like your Filthy Jeep photo.

  2. Welding Torch tip cleaners are $5 on Amazon, great tool to have in the tool box.
  3. We prefer to sleep in the truck when we are on the road between destinations. We find it quieter when we are at someplace other than a campground. We have not used the workstation at all. We sit in the camper if we need to sit at a table.
  4. Congratulations on the soon to come new grandbaby🎉
  5. The Dinette legs and table should be readily available from a RV recycling yard. Get the floor bases too.
  6. So an update, I believed the truck was losing prime, causing the no start. I thought I had the truck fixed after several attempts and parts replaced in the fuel system and Davco filter assembly. When traveling over spring break, I had another no start in a Way-Mart parking lot. No matter how much I pumped the primer, I could not get the truck to start. When the truck failed to start, the Autoshift display would blink the red service lamp. I was able to contact A L B Diesel and Auto repair, and after explaining what I had been experiencing with the intermittent no start, Stan diagnosed the problem as electrical not fuel related. Some time in the life of the truck, the 12volt leads from the battery to the ECM and TCM, someone had connected them using wire nuts, and not solder and heat shrink. Once the leads were soldered back together this no start issue has not returned. Thanks A L B Diesel, Michael
  7. Yes, at Windrock, we noticed the light highway traffic as well. We drove through Atlanta last Thursday at 7:00 pm, never slowed down.
  8. We are glad we chose to persevere, we came to TN, to "social distance" with my wife, son, and daughter in-law. We had enough provisions and supplies, we have not had to interact with anyone. We have learned that the CG we are in will be closing at noon on Friday. We were/are leaving by 11:00am on Friday👍. We have had the best trip any of us can ever remember. Michael

  10. Good luck Suite, we are social distancing in the mountains, only family within 50 feet of us. J7 Just finished steak and onions, with my wife my son and my daughter in-law👍
  11. We arrived in TN yesterday, went to the Wal-Mart and bought a few last minute things. There were no eggs, but we bought TP👍. We really had everything we needed so no worries. The store here was not so wiped out as FL stores are. The folks up here are used to taking care of themselves, so I suspect less panic buying.
  12. A L B Diesel and Auto Repair. This shop was fantastic, Stan the owner let me know he was going to be a little while responding to my mobile service request. He was tied up on another job, he gave me an estimated arrival. After speaking with him I felt confident that it would be worth the short wait. Stan called me 20 minutes before the appointment time to let me know he may be a hand ful of minutes late. The communication was very much appreciated. I believed we were experiencing more fuel related issues with losing prime, but explaining what I was observing with the truck, he said not fuel problem but electrical problem. He started at the fuse panel, and went to the batteries and in less than 10 minutes found a poorly connected 12 volt line that feeds the ECU. Cleaned it and the truck fired right up. He explained what I could do to fix it, and had I been home at my shop, I may have. I was so impressed with his communication and diagnostic skill, I asked if he might have time to do the repair. He said he did, and the estimate was more than reasonable, so I followed him to his shop. Justin and Stan jumped on it together and had the repair done quickly. I cannot express how much I appreciated the character of these two men. Great HONEST repair facility. Michael
  13. I tow a travel trailer, and use a camera to above the ball hitch, along with the suspension dump valve on the Volvo hitching is a breeze. I use the connector for that camera when hitched, to connect the wired camera on the tail of the trailer when traveling. This camera is super helpful with lane changes, and tight service stations and the like. I stole the RV haulers idea and mounted the monitor in the center of the dash after moving a few switches over closer to the steering wheel. Michael
  14. Congratulations Mr. Brad on your retirement. I am so ready to bug out. My wife has been preparing for our trip as usual and as usual we have enough food and supplies for a small army. We have enough fuel on board to travel to our destination AND back. Benefit of the HDT🚛, We will be away from everyone for 10 days. I can't think of a better move to keep my family safe. Stay safe everyone, Michael
  15. We have enough food on board for 8 to 10 days, we also have enough water for 5-7 days. We have kept in contact with the destination, and they have no plans to close. Hopefully this media fear mongering will pass soon. Thanks for the advice Suite, and Pappy.
  16. We have had a trip planned for 6 months, we still plan to go. We are heading up into the Tennessee mountains for some Jeep riding and relaxing. Has anyone been out on the highway, is traffic lighter or about the same as usual?
  17. Deep Space Lighting, has a great upgrade. David would also know the wiring configurations.
  18. I believe my progressive policy covers 150 days a year. I long for when I can travel 150 days a year:)

  20. My opinion would be you are asking for trouble stopping at the scales. I would run without a tag before I ran with a commercial temp tag. I would make every effort to get it registered and insured in your home state b4 picking it up. In FL. I had to provide a photo to the DMV, with the commercial hitch removed. The. dealer can send you that photo. Interior photos can be "had" online with stuff like a fridge and a microwave installed. Have the dealer install a good quality pure since wave invertor for you, this will provide your 110 volt requirement. Unless the truck is equipped with an APU. Michael.
  21. That seems pretty simple, I may give it a try, Thanks:)
  22. Welcome to Sunny Florida, we are in Lakeland FL. Preparing for our next trip to Windrock ORV park in Tennessee in two weeks.
  23. For the meantime, I put the stainless bolts that held the mirror on back in the holes. I cleaned them up with my brass wheel first.
