  1. I found that the seems were not the issue. The fairings bolted to the cab was an issue. I have temporarily fixed it by sealing the gap between the upper fairing and the side fairing. I will eventually remove the fairing and fix it. The sealer is still working though.
  2. Suite, clip the lower side first, then seat the upper. Should have ordered new ones a year or more ago, just didn't want to spend $100. One head wound too many, camping in the cold Tennessee mountains.
  3. For those that consider themselves very frugal, or others that prefer the term, cheap bastard. I have found gas springs for the luggage doors on the Volvo, $25 for all four with free shipping. Takes 5 minutes each side to swap them out. Quit holding them up with your head on cold days. https://www.amazon.com/C16-09209-C1609209-Quantity-Tonneau-Supports/dp/B00774U6HY Fit and function exactly like the original Volvo units at 1/4 the price. 4. Please take a moment to check voltage to the ECU of the transmission. Be sure that 12 volts is present, and that the ground is clean and secure. With the Volvo, the lack of good ground at the battery from the transmission computer caused a similar condition for me.
  5. Yes she will, especially if she happens to be from Missouri.
  6. Amazon has DOT approved fittings. I scored an entire box of miscellaneous DOT fittings from a tech at the nearby Volvo dealer, for$20. Some were new some were used. I rebuilt the used ones and keep them in the truck. Even used one of the new brass compression fittings that was in the box to fix a propane leak in the camper. If you do remove a compression fitting, don't throw it away, Amazon has a box of assorted brass ferrules for cheap. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07XSB1W3M/ref=sspa_mw_detail_0?ie=UTF8&psc=1&pd_rd_i=B07XSB1W3Mp13NParams
  7. I am sure if I come up with 20 grand they'll come up with another one:)
  8. https://www.testequipmentdepot.com/fluke/acoustic-imagers/sonic-industrial-imager-ii900.htm I will fix leaks on your HDT's for all donator's
  9. I know that one of the truck online shops sells new OEM bottom's with the original upholstery and foam for the Volvo's. I'll try to find it again. https://www.suburbanseats.com/c/cushions-covers-upholstery
  10. I think it looks like a stripped bolt snapped off and floating through the coolant.
  11. 365/4=$91.25 not really expensive. $277 each Yellow Top, 2 in Dodge, 1 in Jeep, and, Blue Top in camper. But I get 10-12 years out of them so, pretty cheap.
  12. I agree with others on this forum, go to the dealer, they have a great price on batteries.
  13. Please read the below with tongue planted firmly in cheek. Perhaps you could run a sheet metal screw thru the suction cup and into the windshield, that should hold it.👍
  14. I chased all the leaks, because they were so numerous it would occasionally go down during a dinner stop. I was able to find and cure enough leaks to get all the air bags, including the cab bags to stay up for weeks. This was well worth my time.
  15. We were canceled by Good Sam ERS, never used their service for the truck and trailer. We did however use the service for keys locked in cars once or twice and to tow a car twice (a year apart) when it failed to start away from home in our local community. No real explanation, I do not recall exactly why. I would like to hear from others who they use for Road Side Assistance.
  16. The Gen 2 Volvo I own, airs the bags back up when I turn the key off. Hunt the PTC fittings from the rear most bags to the leveling valve and fix the leaks. My bags will now stay firm for weeks.
  17. For the small gauge wires, I keep a box of these in the camper and in the shop at home. No need to crimp, and only requires a heat gun to solder and seal the connection. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07S62KYSL/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  18. I bought a truck in late December, it took till mid February to just get it titled as a Motorhome in FL. I did not start modifying the truck until after I had the clear title. I began converting it to haul a Jeep on a deck, and added a bumper pull hitch for a travel trailer. I spent every hour I could while working 55ish hours a week. I was able to have the truck, deck, and travel trailer road ready in April. I would have liked to spend more time building, as I have spent as much time correcting/changing some designs, to make things more efficient. We took our first big run in early June. 4 months after title completion. Might want to wait until you have more time, and preferably better weather to work on the truck.
  19. Pull the board out and look for corrosion on the bottom side of the board. Should be able to see where the voltage is leaking off and going to ground.
