We would have spent so much more had we not been led astray๐
A new one ton Dually would have been 3 to 4 times the cost.
We are still so thankful.
Did I mention on the way home from Arkansas where we met you my Dodge spit fifth gear off the sub shaft 50 miles from the house.
That made the HDT decision even easier.
It's Hammer Time,
welcome,
ask away.
I am so glad Alie and Jim directed us to this site, my wife and I would never have been able to begin our HDT lifestyle without all of the knowledgeable ladies and gentleman here.

Works to keep the batteries topped off, I have three of these.
I purchase them when they go on sale at Northern tool for $25.
Keep the batteries up in my separate inverter setup in the camper, and the lawn tractor in the barn.
Hydraulic brakes with a master cylinder? Change the rubber brake hose from the hard line to the caliper.
The line may have failed internally and might let fluid to the caliper under pressure, but not let fluid out back to the master cylinder.
My .02 cents
I hope to get to the brakes this weekend. Been remodeling a bedroom in the house after my youngest son moved into his own home.
Now the nest is empty, accept of course the Mother in Law๐ง
Definately only happens after setting for several weeks to a month or more. Becoming very consistent though. I will double check the S cams and make sure that I am not missing them while living the chassis. I suspect I have overlooked them.
I seem to be having an issue with the front tandem passenger side brake shoes hanging up and not releasing.
The chambers appear to be fine, it seems as though it is the shoe linkage.
I would be so grateful if some of you might like to share some wisdom on the subject.

May also want to seal these same seams under the fairings at the back of the cab. I resealed the seams and a year later a new leak began, I traced it to the driver side fairing below the joint where it meets the upper fairing. Only leaked during very heavy Florida tropical downpours.
