  1. I use a short section of pool noodle to keep the glass tray in place while running down the road. I wedge it vertically on the glass up to the roof of the microwave.
  2. Looks fantastic, drill a couple drain holes in the plastic just ahead of the brackets?
  3. We have used our microwave going down the road, it is a great tool for warming coffee back up. I think we have made instant oatmeal once as well if I recall correctly. Big issue is the autopilot does not always keep the lane, so I have to keep one eye out the windshield as I move about the cabin. πŸ‘οΈπŸ€¨πŸ˜œπŸ˜‚
  4. if I had a dollar for every time I heard that...... I still wouldn't have a dollar.
  5. Wetness has not been an issue in nearly 4 years.
  6. I have two of the newer Champion Invertor/Generator's. I have added a plastic boat fuel tank with the Johnson quick connect fuel fittings. On the Genset, I added a vacuum fuel pump to pull fuel from the boat tank. The instructions are on the interwebs. Works well and runs a very long time on the tank. I added a fuel filter inline that has a removable bowl, as the only issue I have had with the generator is trash in the needle and seat. Oh, one other issue is valve clearance, be sure to pop off the valve cover and adjust the valves as needed once a year. Perhaps before you install it on the truck would be a good idea. The investors are quite a bit quieter, and I did not need to enclose it in a box. The invertor also has a remote start feature that I can start the gen set from the bunk in the truck and anywhere within my travel trailer, especially nice in in-climate weather.
  7. Could the exhaust be mounted internal to the enclosed box, then fed into a venturi piping and divert it up and away from cab and above head level further reducing noise? I would suspect no need to completely enclose, the sound abatement can be handled with four solid walls and the venturi. The top and bottom of the box really should be similar to the doors over the generator doors on toy hauler campers? Also if you route the exhaust above the trucks cab, the weight of CO 2 would tend to find ways into the cab on calm days?
  8. The current software appears to be version 8.80 You seem to have the cluster in the self test mode as well. I would suspect corrosion somewhere in the wiring leading to the pedal. The loss of amps is enough to confuse the throttle pedal sensor.
  9. I shivered a little just seeing the picture. 🌬🌧🌨🌩🌊πŸŒͺ We on the other hand are experiencing tropical storm winds and rain, very muggy and wet. πŸ’¦πŸ’§β˜”βš‘πŸŒ€πŸŒ
  10. Remember something about putting the two extra ABS sensors in the single axle. Fools the truck into thinking there are still two axles.
  11. If Deer Run cannot accommodate you longer as you hope. Try looking into Windrock CG in Oliver Springs TN, big pull through sites at a offroad/ Mountain bike/downhill biking/Mountain hideaway. The CG is connected to a 72,000 acre working coal mine. Great place to explore and be outdoors. We go to Windrock very often.
  12. We always carry fresh water, we have run into silver water at a State Park CG, we were glad we had water on board.
  13. I have had good success with DB Electrical. https://www.dbelectrical.com/products/alternator-fits-freightliner-peterbilt-sterling-volvo-western-star.html?
  14. New alternator, the regulator seems stuck wide open. 14 v should be the expected voltage. With the truck off how many volts does the battery bank show?
  15. Please check ALL connections at the batteries. Specifically the in-line fuses near the batteries. These provide direct 12 volts to the ECM and the TCM. The display going out makes me think insufficient voltage/ground for the ECM. Do you get a trans service red light after the no start?
  16. Same as Halted A86473 Around$40. @ Van Horn truck parts
  17. Do the two outbound lines go to brake chambers, or air bags?
  18. I have 3 of these, every time they go on sale at Northern Tool I purchase another. They work well, keep the Volvo topped off, and the little Zero Turn lawn tractor topped off, and everything in between.
  19. I wonder if it might be metric? 3mm o-ring. https://www.amazon.com/1-5x3mm-Metric-Buna-N-Durometer-Section/dp/B0180EQ0N8
  20. I have yet to run across to a 1/8 in Airline, what does it go to?
