  1. There is an adaptation of #6 in the military; it's called surrounding yourself with smart capable people who support you, and in turn learn your job. It's taught at military schools, and is what makes the U.S.A. military the best in the world.
  2. Two for selecting FireFox privacy as default browser. Download FF privacy, select as default browser.
  3. Reverse gear helped move our dump trucks when the shoes stuck to the drums. Reverse braking is not as robust as when driving forward, which allows the shoes to move more.
  4. We only did extended traveling, never full-timed. I echo what Kirk said, the comfort of knowing you had lifelines was missing. We are now too old for that extended traveling(48 of the 50 states, Mexico and Canada) we enjoyed so much, and limit our traveling to within 500 miles from home. For instance, our family doctor gave us her home cell phone # for emergencies. That was one of the things missing thousands of miles from home, even though we've only used it once. I can fix nearly anything on/in the RV except drivetrain issues here at home in the RV garage, on the road I cannot carry all those tools, supplies, and still have room and weight capacity for our personal items for changing climates and locations.
  5. Use a tone generator wire tracer to find the routing and destination of each wire.
  6. Hang around 3 months and watch the uptick. FMCA has even less traffic during summer months.
  7. I would call and speak with an RV dealer near Leavenworth, about hiring one of their delivery drivers that bring in RV's from Indiana. Preferably a licensed and bonded MH driver that has delivered a MH to Leavenworth and normally flies or Grayhounds back to Indiana.
  8. Here ya go: https://www.hwhcorp.com/hwhdeal3.html
  9. I think I watched the same episode. The one I saw said the spike in hospitalizations is mainly in older people. DW began carrying hand sanitizer in her purse again, and handed be a zip lock bag of masks to put in the truck glovebox again. What a bummer.
  10. Ubuntu desktop is a long-term support version. Ubuntu desktop Pro is much more secure it says, and supports up to 5 machines.
  11. The city website says it used to be known as a hippie town, so bus markings fit.
  12. Nope, never did that mod. The cost/benefit was upside down. It would never pay for itself, even buying fuel in the lowest cost states in the lower 48. Then there was the weight issue of the full tank that nailed the coffin closed. At that time I had a 2002 Chevy Duramax CC, LB, 4x4 dually, the GVWR was only 11,800#, truck weighed 7,600#. I was towing a 15,500# 40' 5er.
  13. Diesel fuel weights 7.1 lbs./gallon. that will add 710 pounds, plus tank weight and materials to fasten it in place to a pickup. What truck are you planning to carry this with?
  14. Sounds like you're doing fine with the eye disease. Stay the course. I would participate in the shoot even if just for having fun. IMO it's always good to challenge yourself. I have glaucoma and tremors, which means I cannot shoot free-hand or see the target well, I must use sandbags. i still have fun with this relaxing hobby.
  15. As far as I know, yes, if it will fit in the same space and the logistics can be figured out. Regardless of the larger output, your RV can only handle what the breaker panel supports.
  16. I agree. You need to hire an atty to review your MH Ins. policy and advise you of your rights under the contract and state laws.
  17. Yup, Mac said a hand-held fire extinguisher name is not accurate, it is not designed to put out a fire, just suppress it long enough to get away. I have a lot of respect for his knowledge and dedication to fire safety.
  18. This happens every time you have the cylinders refilled, right? Are you opening the cylinder valve slowly to prevent the excess flow feature from closing the valve? Have you tried lighting your LP cooktop after replacing a cylinder, this allow air to escape from the piping that entered the open regulator when changing cylinders. After the cooktop lights, turn it off and try to light the refrigerator again, it may require several attempts while the remaining air in the line to the fridge purges.
  19. Might be part of pre-basic. https://www.armytimes.com/news/your-army/2022/07/26/army-plans-prep-course-to-help-hopeful-soldiers-lose-weight-improve-test-scores/ I don't like it, but society has created a generation of over-weight, computer-dependent people. IMO Shoot, some schools aren't even teaching cursive now.
  20. I think this is the ladder he recommended for fire escape via the emergency window. https://www.amazon.com/Telescopic-RIKADE-Telescoping-Extension-Household/dp/B0B7DR5YRS/ref=sr_1_6?crid=1Z0Q0ZYKUY15C&keywords=Todeco%2B8.5'%2Bladder&qid=1692755216&s=hi&sprefix=todeco%2B8.5'%2Bladder%2Ctools%2C187&sr=1-6&th=1
  21. YOU must speak directly with the lender, it's your signature on the contract with them.
  22. If you prefer organized caravans and are a U.S.A. or Canadian military veteran, S,M.A.R.T. organizes an Alaska caravan every year. They are by far the lowest price for organized caravans, as they are a non-profit organization; the wagon-master and tail-gunner are non-paid volunteers. There are also Alaska caravans that meet-up in Canada, thereby reducing expenses; an internet search will find their websites.
  23. One thing not mentioned when sanitizing your plumbing system is how to tell if the sanitizing solution has done what it supposed to do. When you have filled the system with a chlorine/water solution, run each faucet until you smell chlorine, then allow to soak for about 4 hrs.. Then run each faucet until you smell chlorine again, that is residual chlorine that remains after all the bacteria is killed. If you do not smell chlorine, the sanitizing process must be repeated until you can smell chlorine after the soak period. Afterwards the system should be flushed with clean water to remove the chlorine taste and odor. The thing is; if you continue to use that FL well-water the objectionable odor will return. FL is well-known for bad tasting/smelling ground water. BTW, you might have the county/state test the water for contaminants. Culligan might even offer this service.
  24. You seem to require legal advice. As Kirk said your lender has the final say it's their money at stake, well- until you have repaid them anyway.
