  1. Thanks Kirk. Nice website! I will definitely check for leaks Sandsys
  2. Thanks you Ray and Dutch, that help a lot!
  3. Hello fellow travelers! My older RV has a water tank that stinks to high heaven! I think it wasn't maintained or cleaned and then sat unused for a long time. Is it possible to sanitize it back to safe usage or do I need to replace it? If it can be salvaged, how do I thoroughly sanitize it? Thanks! Happy Trails!
  4. Thanks for the clarification durangodon! and jbh, I saw the Webseal on Amazon and think I may get that for the curved edges. Do you need to prime it or prepare the surface any differently than the tape with the plastic cover layer? Thanks!
  5. Ok, I was just on the Amazon website reading about the EternaBond Tape and Primer and it said that installation must happen in temperatures under 40 deg. F I live in the Arizona desert. I would have only a few days in January when it would even be possible. What am I to do??? Is this not going to work in my situation?
  6. Thanks to all for the very helpful information. I think I am going to give it a go. Wish me luck!
  7. Hello fellow travelers! I want to seal the seams of my RV with EternaBond. I have a Class C with the bunk over the cab and so have curved seams there. Anybody use the EternaBond tape on curved edges with any success? Any tips from anyone who has used EternaBond would be greatly appreciated Thanks! Happy Trails!
  8. Hello fellow travelers! Where should I put the back up camera on my 21 ft. Class C motorhome? I have the camera that is mounted on a license plate frame, but I was talking to a fellow RVer who was saying that the cameras should go up high on an RV. I was thinking of just having my husband go to the back move it around and see where I like it best. Thoughts? Thanks. Happy Trails!
  9. Thanks Kirk! I love apps that make our lives easier.
  10. Hello fellow travelers! I have read that it is very important to know how much you weigh and not overload your RV weight capacity. Where do I get my RV weighed? I only know of the random weigh stations you see on the interstates. Is there a big chain gas station/automotive shop that has that service? Thanks. Happy Trails!
  11. Thank you all again for your input. I will take everything you've said into consideration. It sounds like what I am hearing is pick a good plan but be ready to go it alone too if necessary. What are some of your suggestions for being prepared for the worst? Emergency credit card and cash is a good suggestion Payroll. I'm brand new to RVing so I truly value you all! Thanks for your help. Happy Trails!
  12. Wow! Just looked at Coachnet and, while a little pricier, they offer a lot of services for the money. My RV is a little bit of a fixer upper (needs awning replaced and roof sealed) and if I can get discounts on RV parts and services the price of the plan may be worth it.
