Made it to KOA Billings MT. There is a sweet old blue and white KW in the first site on the left as you come into the entrance. Anyone here? -

Starting to make our way west to the WCR. Heading to Billings Mt tomorrow or Sunday depending on weather and my gumption to drive 455 miles thru.. Not many placed to break up the drive from Bismarck to Billings. -
I "Found" that on the original hook up and corrected it.

If AV8r would care to post the picks I sent him along with the short right up it might help others. I had intermittent lighting issues that stemmed from a rats nest of wire from past roadside fixes. I removed all this and was able to pull new wire from the truck side junction box.to the lights at the back of the truck without having to buy another Volvo harness. And this was before David- Deepspacelighting- had a harness available. Having the terminal strips allows you to separate the components and test where a fault is. "Trailer turn signal doesn't work when I flip the turn signal stalk" Is it the truck side? Jackalope? Or trailer? Plus at some point, adding mirror turn signals, a 3rd brake light, extra deck lighting, etc is simple. You have a direct source to easily tie into.

Alan posted them. PM me and I'll send you the ones I sent Alan awhile ago.

Kirk, I would look for an LT tire in the size you need. Maybe not the actual 175/80R14, but a 14" rim with a similar outside diameter. There are several tire size calculators available online to compare sizes.

What size tire rims Kirk?

Yes, Kevin is still working for SC. We are slammed with projects right now. Dune- Send him an email at Kcartwright at southerncrossinc dot com. It hard to say yes we can put you to work next fall. The traveler side of Southern Cross is fluid. We have seasonal projects, full-time projects that we help staff with travelers for emergencies, plus companies are always calling asking for help on 2 week to 6 month projects. Some techs take time off between projects, take summers or winters off, or have their personal situation change, which affects Kevin's staffing levels on any given day. -

Southern Cross does training in Atlanta every 2 months or so. Some of it is based on demand but they try to keep class sizes to 14-16 or so. They also have other areas where there are trainers available but that depends on the client they are working for. PM me for more information if you're interested. -

Just about the oldest truck HDT in the crowd and the newest. I will admit though that the KW did ride nice...... ALMOST as nice as a Volvo ! Had a great time hanging around with y'all, Mexican market and restaurant plus the pizza was worth the diet set back! Sad thing is that the Prevost coach next to us with the custom stacker trailer puts us both to shame! -

I've had both Deere"s and Kubota's. I like the K's better. The K never had a "Code" or any issues. Change the oil and kept fuel in it. The Deere had random issues, nothing major but computer items that required a trip to the dealer for a sensor and computer reset. For the most part the Deere always started, but the K just did the job and never complained. -

It's really good. Big pull thru's. No issues except for the u-turn to actually enter the campground. What we did was just make a left turn, take the next 2 left's behind the store on the corner and back out to the main road to turn right into the park. You can see it on Google maps. We haven't been to Jelly or KOA there. They are always closed when we go! -

And we moved to a place just east of Kansas City on I70 today. Great Escape RV & camp Resort, smallish place near Higginsville MO that is open with water and has long sites. Roads in the park are big enough for us to navigate, I would guess that anyone up to the 75-80' length would fit carefully as well. Almost got thru KC without traffic.... then rush hour showed up at 3:45... -

So after 426 miles on the road today, we pull into Tower Campground in Sioux Falls SD. And there's a Volvo 670 singled short with a big drom box on the back. It's the Fly'n Finn's with their beautiful Teton. Great conversation and it became dark and I was called for dinner. Great meeting you today, safe travels1
