  1. There are 2 fuses for the ECM as well. One about a foot back on the main ECM harness, and another near the batteries- that one goes to ground. There is a ground behind the lower dash panel by the steering column, and well as the main pass thru harness. There is also a ground that runs from the starter to frame. I've replaced these as I've had issues with my "98 610.
  2. There are the 2 rest stops just east of Bismarck on I-94 that the State Patrol uses as a truck DOT inspection location. I've blown by it so many times bobtail I doubt they even look anymore...
  3. This still peaks my interest as well. My downfall is that I have no easy way to carry the ladders needed to do roof work. Unless they are using drones for 2nd story work now. With, flooding, fires, hurricanes it might be a good time to reinvestigate this.
  4. Dave, Yours has it.... Our 2013 has it.... there is a button on the dash, parallel S lines on a push button near the unlock button on the dash. The light on the das will illuminate when you slide the car on snow/ice or are on a nice gravel road and drift a turn. It takes a lot to make "Turn On- or take effect"..... I had to push the car to see it.
  5. Another new job, or the new job that is a year old now?
  6. DRV must have an Amish technician that is color blind.... they had the 12v aux hooked to the trailer brake line. When I hooked up and plugged in the trailer at Lazy Days, I heard the brake actuator- disc brakes- humming. The trailer would roll until the pads and rotors started smoking... found and pulled the fuse for the brake pump. There were other issues as well, but we won't go there tonight....
  7. 🤣🤣 It's great when someone posts what I'm thinking!!!!
  8. Our old Volvo turned 23.... next time around I'm going to see if Hagerty's will cover it.
  9. Mr C- We have agreed value on the RV and Truck. The truck is higher than the street value of the truck, because I can't by or build a truck for $7400. The RV is what our original purchase price was. We're paying more in premium than I want, but we already had 1 RV totaled. Our premiums run around 2400 or so.... not fun.
  10. I had a power strip that had an overload circuit protector built in, that failed internally, light was still on, button pushed, but wouldn't pass power thru.
  11. So if I post on every post I get more Badges???? KInda like the company I work for.... the more stuff you spew... the higher you go........
  12. Yes.... Happy Independence day to all of us traitorous colonials....
  13. Check the vents or the fuel caps if they are a vented cap. You can follow the fuel lines from the tanks to the splitter blocks and check for any kinks or hard bends.
  14. We average 8800 miles a year since 2013. I do work and move accordingly but we also travel to local sites areas for weekend trips etc.
  15. Depends on what you mean by heavy... what are you pulling? I'm in a 1998 Volvo 610 with an old M-11 set at 400/1450 with a 10sp and 2.93 gears. It does fine pulling our 25k RV around. Not the fastest up hills, but the jakeon the down hill is great.
  16. I feel your pain .... I lost my dash due to an ECM going bad... it was intermittent and took forever to track down. One day I'd have the tac and fuel gauge, next day nothing, 3rd day everything would work perfect.....
  17. Another area to look at is start at the batteries and start cleaning all the connections. A bad ground connection to the frame can cause the low voltage in other areas.
  18. If you're a member of a credit union you'll have better luck. And if the truck your looking at is already titled as an RV, then you're buying a RV.....
  19. It will do it. You'll scrub the trailer tires turning in the cul d sac but you'll be able to turn straighten out and back up.
  20. I put aftermarket wheels on our 2013, Went a size larger tire on the same rim size as the rear wheel size. Car rides and tracks so much better.
  21. If you have a tracking number, go to the fed docks and walk in and they can find them. I had to do this in Chicago....
  22. Yes, but be aware that you are in the Jacksonville airport flight path.
  23. So I had summer windshield washer fluid in the tank windshield washer tank on mine.... and we went from a mild 70* fall to freezing to snow and ice in a 36hour period. Needless to say the tank froze and cracked.... and here's the redneckery part.... that flexseal tape your see on TV.... it is currently 2 years old and is still holding..... To change the tank is to remove the batteries, battery box, and the outside skirt.... on a 23 year old truck that this area has never been dissembled. The tape will stay for awhile longer.
