  1. The State May have no or reduced restrictions but Countries and City’s still may have restrictions. Pima County, Tucson, still has restrictions even tho AZ has reduced the Statewide mandate.
  2. I am the original poster. My mail was finally sent out on Wed Feb 24th via FedEx and was delivered on Fri the 26. The office in Livingston was closed for a week, but it only took a couple of days to catch up and get my mail out. Besides, FedEx was not picking up or delivering that week either. Thanks to all in Livingston.
  3. Go on campgroundreviews.com, type in Ft Lauderdale and you will get most of the parks in the area. The reviews are usually accurate and you can click on the campgrounds web site to get more info on the individual park.
  4. I disagree with the above post. The video shows a flashing light. I use a rope light which is a string of lights which stay illuminated. I had many pack rats enter my motorhome before I used this string light. Since I began using a rope light two years ago around my motorhome completely surrounding it, I have has zero pack rat problems. The lights are not bright enough to be annoying to my neighbors and stay on 24/7. Rodents will not walk across a lit rope light day or night.
  5. When I turned 65 I was already domiciled in So Dakota. I contacted Gerald Heinrich who is a commercial member of Escapees He is located in TX but can sell Nationwide MediCare in TX, SD and I believe FL. His number is 1(866)558-3577. There are few choices in SD. United Health Care thru AARP, or Mutual of Omaha. I went with MofO. I also got Part D coverage with CVS. Gerald will walk you thru what is available and the best costs.
  6. Everything you have should still work on the CRV. You will need a new or used base plate for the CRV if the car you buy doesn’t already have one and you may need to add the electric cord connector to the CRV as well as a wiring harness for the CRVs break lights. I would call the maker of the Patriot braking system and verify that if will work in the CRV and if yes you may have to set up the CRV to use it by connecting it to the CRVs break peddle. All of the above is very inexpensive.
  7. I live in my RV full time. If I go out at night I leave the outside door light on so I can see to unlock the door and go up the steps. Once inside I turn it off. It’s left on for my safety. I also have an outside TV. I enjoy watching my outside TV, it gets me outside rather than sitting inside all the time. If you want to star gaze just walk a few feet away from the camp ground. I shouldn’t be prevented from enjoying myself to accommodate you when you can move and I can not move my TV. I do keep my sound down, especially after dark, so as not to annoy my neighbors.
  8. Check out mattressinsider.com. They will make a mattress to order and specialize in RVs. You can customize the size of the mattress and thickness of the foam.
  9. I just bought groceries at Frys grocery store in Serria Vista AZ this morning. A completely different company, lol lol lol.
  10. Is this the fee for the bridge, or the ferry? There are two Ferries. One is neat Manitowic the other is near Milwaukee.
  11. I too may be going to Michigan in May, from Wisc. I have a 43 foot Class A DP. How windy is it normally? Is there a toll to cross? I am also thinking of taking the Ferry instead. Have been told that RVs are ok on the Ferry. What is the cost for a round trip in a big rig?
  12. Does this apply to those of use who use the Escapees mail forwarding service in Livingston as our address?
  13. Check out Amazon. They have many fulfillment sites that use RVers for workers and even have camp grounds. Most jobs are seasonal but Amazon is operational year round and with your experience and background it may be a good fit.
  14. I have been told by my accountant that an RV can be considered a second home and the interest is deductible. Not sure if the refi costs would be deductible however. Anyway with the standard deduction being doubled most folks are not filing a schedule A and not claiming deductions and are just claiming the standard deduction. I strongly recommend you seek the advise of a CPA.
  15. I think the main problem with mobility is the pointing of the dish needs to be so precise, not like Dish or DirecTv, that it is impractical right now. I have read that Musk is going to link up Starlink with his Tesla automobiles in the future so we who live in RV may have some options in the near future.
  16. Just a suggestion since I have been waiting for my mail to go out since I called in last Fri, I didn’t know Mon was a holiday, and I have a debit card, a check for a refund from my ESP, and my 1099 in this mail, could you send out an email to those of us waiting for mail when it is sent out. I have also heard that FedEx is not picking up or delivering in your area.
  17. I have my mail FedExed to me from Livingston. I just read on another thread on this Forum that FedEx is not working also. I have all my 1099s in this mail shipment and can’t do my taxes! Oh well, guess I will have to take another nap to pass the time.
  18. aztx, TX has no income tax, but does have sales tax on sales within the State of TX. Any sales shipped to other States will not have TX sales tax but may be taxed in the other State. As far as a TX business tax, if there is one, you could incorporate in another State that does not have a business tax and you would not be a TX business. However be aware of income tax that would be owed to the other State, if any. Maybe SD or FL, for the C or S Corp or LLC. SD and FL do not have income tax but I’m not sure about a business tax. You may be better off in the long run just staying in TX and paying the business tax if any.
  19. I use the Escapees mail forwarding service. I called Livingston last Fri to have my mail sent out. They said Mon was a holiday and the mail would go out on Tue. I always get an email with a tracking number. I did not get a tracking number so I called yesterday but no one answers, I just get Mondays message that they are closed. I called again today but got the Monday message again and it’s Wednesday. I know that they are having weather problems, severe cold etc, and power outages. Does any know if the mail forwarding center in Livingston is open or closed?

Well with the weather being so cold in TX I have decided to stay in AZ for awhile, at least another month.
  21. NamMedevac 70 thank you very much for your service, especially on 9 June 1970.
  22. When I go off roading in my Jeep Rubicon I air down to 18 psi but that is only for off road where we usually only drive at 15 MPH. Never worried about the wheel coming off the rim. I would not air down below 30 PSI while driving on the highway at 55/65 MPH I usually am at 38 PSI on highway.
