  1. Sorry I made a mistake. To purchase a hand gun if you are not a resident, the weapon must be shipped to an FFL dealer in your home State as stated above. A long gun can be purchased in any State. I apologize for the misinformation. Had a senior moment.
  2. Per Federal law, you must be a resident of the State, to purchase a hand gun in that State. To purchase a long gun (rifle) or shot gun, if you are not a resident, you must have the gun dealer (who has a FFL) ship the weapon to a FFL in your home State where you the buyer would pick it up. You do not pay double sales tax. The FFL dealer in your State collects a fee for the transfer. You purchased the weapon in the other State and pay for it including sales tax in the other State.
  3. But you must set up Sat and cable separately. Each tv needs to be scanned for each imput/source. Try cable first, then do you sat.
  4. I got my financing in Feb of 2017, using theEscapees address, using Bank of the Ozarks
  5. I sent the IRS a statement that my tax payment is still being processed and will experience a short delay. Not sure what they will do? Lol lol lol šŸ˜‚
  6. No offense Rod, but it took me longer to read your post than I usually take to pack up.
  7. I will usually go thru the dealer for my financing so that the dealer get a commission from the bank but I insist that the dealer gives me a better purchase price. I am going to pay off the loan in full after a couple of months anyhow so the rate is irrelevant.
  8. Have you programmed each tv? Go to menu or impute or source on the remote. Click on sat or hdmi and then scan the channels. It will take a few minutes. You must do this for a each tv. If you have park cable then you must repeat this. click on cable not sat not hdmi. Again you must do this for each tv and for cable very time you move to another location.
  9. Iā€™m too old to even think about a babyā€™s behind lol lol lol
  10. Using the above 2021 Cost of Living Calculator that Velos posted and using my home of 35 years, San Diego CA, comparing Phoenix AZ, Sarasota FL, Bosie ID, and McAllen TX, it seems that the one factor of cost is the average price of purchasing a house. CA overall is way more expensive, and not just San Diego but all of CA. I left the State of CA due to the high cost of housing, high taxes, high cost of fuel, high insurance rates (on vehicles and homeowners insurance) congested traffic everywhere on every interstate ( you canā€™t drive from San Diego to LA, Las Vegas, Phoenix without traffic 24/7/365) and yes the politics. I would never consider returning.
  11. There are many Escapees campgrounds out west. NM, AZ, CA. Call them and ask about their cell coverage. Also as mentioned campground reviews.com has cell coverage information on their reviews. And you could call the BLM, COE etc where you may have interest and ask them about the cell coverage in their area.
  12. I have a Jeep Rubicon with lots of Arizona pin strips (scratches). How do I remove them? Will a clay bar work?
  13. Currently, here's a list of areas doing Starlink beta testing. I'm latitude 37 in CA. Wow, nothing for the State of AZ
  14. Iā€™m a full timer and volunteer in National Parks in the summer. Often there is no cell signal. I have DirecTv for video, but no internet if I have no cell signal. Starlink would be wonderful to have for internet and streaming but currently requires a stationary address. Any idea how long it will be available for mobil positions like an RV?
  15. I purchased a seat belt that has a dog collar clip on one end and a seat belt clip on the other. I clip the belt to my dogs harness and the other is fastened to the seat belt clasp and my dog is secure and can not get off the passenger seat to roam and is protected in a crash from flying thru the window.
  16. This is so simple why make it difficult. If you register your new vehicle in UT and then move to TX you will get credit for the sales tax you paid in UT, so in effect you will own no sale tax in TX. Or your husband can become domiciled in TX, using his brothers address or the Escapees address and register the new vehicle in TX. Do not put his brothers name on the truck, if your brother gets sued and gets a judgement against him a judgement lien can be placed on the vehicle. As far as income taxes, you can still file a Federal joint return and you would have to file a return in UT for the income earned there or a joint return if your husband has earned income in UT anytime in the same tax year. There is no income tax in TX.
  17. A motorized recreational vehicle designed to provide temporary living quarters, guess my Class A DP designed for FULL TIME living does not qualify as a RV under VA code 46.2-1500
  18. Tell her to check with the campus housing office for a referral on a room for rent. They are usually at student prices.
  19. I am living full time and have four vehicles insured with Geico, my motorhome (full timers policy) my Jeep and two Harleyā€™s. I also have 3 rental properties (landlord policy) and an umbrella with Geico.
  20. I was with Miller for years, and they placed me with Nationwide. About 3 years ago Nationwide doubled their premium. I switched to Geico for my Class A (full time policy) Jeep, Harley, 3 rental properties (landlords policy) and an umbrella policy and saved a ton. They have no agents, and pass the savings on to you.
  21. I know of a couple of great fishing spots too, very near some great boondocking places. For the right price Iā€™ll tell you about them. Just pm me, lol lol lol.
  22. I got a Class A DP with a Hydralift for the bike. I had a fifth wheel toy hauler first and found the garage to be wasted living space. But I am a fulltimer.
  23. Iā€™ve owned the RV for 4 years now. The wobble just started on my trip south for the winter a few months ago. I donā€™t think it is a mounting problem since I have put 30,000 miles on with no problem before now. I may have lost a balancing weight or something like that? Will have the alignment checked by Freightliner when I get my annual service. Just donā€™t want to spend $300 for an alignment if it is not the cause of the problem. Hopefully a tire inspection will show the cause of the problem.
  24. Question: I have a slight shimmy when driving between 45 to 65 MPH. Not sure if I need an alignment or maybe a tire balancing. Taking my rig into Freightliner next week for its routine annual service, oil change etc. They said they can do an alignment for an extra $300. I purchased my rig in 2017, itā€™s a 2015 that was originally sold in July of 2014. I replaced the rear 6 tires (itā€™s a tag) in 2019 but was told the front 2 were good. The door label says the front tires are supposed to be 295s but they are 315s. The rears are 275s.
  25. Does the ā€œclothing optionalā€ park give an Escapees discount? Lol lol šŸ˜
