JC and Angie
Angie and I are parked at boyds here in key west till april 5th. All has been great till yesterday. Cleaning the air vent filter that is above the shower, when I stepped from the bedroom area into the lower section, my wet rt foot slipped completely out from under me on the step. Landed on my mid back on the edge of the step. ER doc says I have a transvers fracture in my back. Can't put weight on my rt side, leave over or laugh or anything else except lay here in bed. Going to a specialist Friday. Angie has to drive to Miami tomorrow to pick up the smart car from the body shop. I am lucky to have a great woman that's taking care of me. It's going to be a long few weeks of recovery. Hope everyone is safe from the extremely cold temps up north. Phonix, did you get the cap off the sunscreen?.. JC Quote 2009 Volvo 780. Jim Gell
We left Ft. Wilderness (Disney World) this morning and are now at Wekiwa Springs State Park, near Apopka, FL. Pretty tight manuvering but we put the 5th wheel, smart and the Volvo on the csmpsite without hitting any trees. Worst part was that I was sick with a fever, GI issues, and a splitting head ache. We would have extended stay at Disney, if they had availability so I would not need to drive today. Maybe they just wanted me out when I told them I was to sick to drive. I am feeling quite a bit better tonight. Jim Quote 2001 Volvo 770, Detroit 60 Series, Gen 2 Autoshift Passenger assist elevator to enter cab - for when we need it, or sell it? RandyA
JC - It really sounds like you must be miserable. I feel for you and hope things improve quickly. We are still in Ft.Myers until March 1 when we will move further north in FL to Carrabelle and the Gulf.. The new (larger) inflatable has been great on the water. We have been watching Manatees and Alligators while trying to catch fish. Cooler weather and wind arrived today that will keep us off the water for the rest of the week. Ronbo
We are now at Fiesta Key. The park is pretty tight. I couldn't turn on the road for the pull through as it was too tight. Turns out I had bad directions anyhow. Went all the way around and came up from other direction. Found site and was ready to go around again and come in correct road. Theresa says just back inn you can do it. Nailed it first time. Had a large audience. The new ET is awesome by the way. Jim Gell
We arrived at Sumter Oaks SKP Park in Bushnell, FL yesterday afternoon. We finally were able to get individual wheels weighed. I will start a thread on that later. I had the flu the whole time we were at our last stop, Wekiwa State Park. The highlight of my stay was having a beautiful adult bobcat run across the road in the campground in front of me.
