.... and it's cold here in Salt Lake.

For you folks in warmer places... a reminder of why you are there.

Happy New Year!!!  And it is indeed a new year.  I slept through the ringing in at midnight, but got up on the right side of the grass, so it's a good start.

Happy New Year to all. Although 2020 was a trying year for us all, it was good for some of us. The owner of our company kicked me an d 3 others out of the office because of our age, and Detroit was an absolute hot bed for the virus. He told us to work remotely, and made sure we had whatever we needed to do it. Well, that was all right with me, so I got to spend 8 weeks of the summer working from an rv park, and it was rough having to set outside under the awning calling customers, calling suppliers, and conducting normal business. Then cold weather came, and it was back to the house to finish the year out. But the best part came on Dec 31st when I made a trip to the office to say goodbye to everyone and clean out my desk.

I am now looking forward to 2021 as a brand new addition to the retired class and being able to get out and see much more of this wonderful country.

Welcome to the Retired Olde Phartes club.  Best job I ever had.

And yes, while 2020 offered some challenges, for us it wasn't that bad.  And a great year financially.
