Pat & Pete
With a bit of modification , that would make a great hot dog stand . But , it seems to 'over the top' for picnics and such . Seems to be some very nice workmanship . Obviously , the man had some time to kill . Goes around , comes around .

I take care of the pile-its......... Drive on.......(Retired pilots.........pile-it) You can't pile-it, until someone cuts it. HHEHE You will like this. Buddy of mine went to Memphis Tn. Waked into the airport. Now this was in 1964, told them he was looking for a job. They asked him what was it you do? He told them he was a wood cutter. Well we have no need for a woodcutter. Jim told them then why in the world did you hire my twin brother Earl? Because he told us he was a Pile-it. Jim told them he is a Pile-it, But durn if I know how it will pile-it. Unless I cut it first.. HEHHE
