  1. Everyday now it seems Roku, Hulu, AT&T TV, Amazon Prime, etc are adding new free TV shows and movies. Hard to keep up and confusing sometimes but great for us anyway. Some of the movies are AD free and some have short ADs and others many ADs but I still see a lot of free old and new stuff. Minor hassle for me. Cheers
  2. For many many years I have used private paid for postal address with a box number with USAA and no problems so far. Knock On Wood. I now do most everything with them online and no paper mail except their flyers for medicare plans. Happy Camper
  3. Roger That and a big 10-4. Captain Happy
  4. Drones can be great for checking your route ahead on rough remote BLM roads and looking for suitable campsites in same remote areas and even for security. They are almost man's best friend. Happy Camper.
  5. This year due to the virus all the eateries have allowed me to do take out and no lines unlike in years past when you had to eat inside with no take out allowed and it was shoulder to shoulder at the counter such as texas roadhouse. They were more than happy to do take out this time. Captain Happy.
  6. Highway 50 across Nevada and Utah one of my favorites for camping solitude. Lots of BLM land. Happy Trails.
  7. I love my two swivel recliners. Hard to find the type I use. Happy Camper
  8. I have stayed in at least one campground requiring elevated sewer hoses and believe it was in Salem Oregon owned by an Indian Tribe. Very good idea and I was prepared. Happy Trails.
  9. Very well said and I agree. If you are a TV internet streamer then there are apps on Hulu, Roku, Vizio TV and Fire Stick that will allow you to view local TV stations (news) in large cities near you. For instance in Reno, nevada I can watch local TV stations for free in San Francisco, reno and Sacramento. Happy Trails.
  10. Again you are spot on and only reason I am in Lake Tahoe area for the beautiful outdoors and outside camping, fishing, hiking, kayaking. Been avoiding SF area lately due to virus and crime. Happy Camper.
  11. According to B of Reclamation the road across Boca Dam and improvement construction on the dam is now finished so access form I-80 is reestablished to the campground. It may be open if no snow. Tahoe and Plumas National Forest will allow access to some closed campgrounds if no snow blockage. I have accessed many of these during winter and early spring with limited snow buildup. Sometimes had to use a shovel. Enjoyed the smorgs. Free camping if entrance gate is not closed and locked. I of course do this without my RV. Hard Core Happy Camper
  12. Northern Nevada and California are also extremely dry. Glad I live near Lake Tahoe. Cheers.
  13. From experience of a friend be careful about taking too much Vitamin D and especially with prescription medications as it can put you into the ER. Cheers
  14. Found another called Jealous Old Men and yet another "Save Us From The Puritans" Cheers
  15. Very well said and I agree.
  16. This is good info for those not in the know. My website has more info on VA disability claim experiences. Click on links. Happy Camper
  17. Very well said and I agree. Been there and seen it. Now staying in Lake Tahoe area
  18. You misunderstand If you are referring to me I have stated many times on this and other RV forums that I gladly wear a Mask at all times around other people for the limited protection it affords me from any and all airborne viruses such as covid. I deleted this topic due to snarky comments I was receiving from other and thought the moderators would delete also. Peace
  19. Out of curiosity and for amusement I recently joined a strange forum called the Cowardly Fuddy Duddies Group and learned there is another called Grumpy Old Men. I seemed to fit the profile of both groups by age and physical fitness. I will soon post Link from my FB website. Cheers
  20. I reply in kind to snarky replies. No offense intended to anyone. Most campers will see my post as sincere attempt to help fellow travelers with important information for their present situation and planning purposes. I am 74 with heart condition and overweight and feel perfectly comfortable riding in a car with a stranger if both of us are wearing mask and said stranger doesn't mind or feel unsafe. All I stated was the official word from the Triple AAA roadside asst operator and they used covid virus as reason/excuse for not riding in the cab. Many RVers have stated on this and other forums how grateful they were to be rescued on a lonely rural road night or day by Triple A drivers who also let them ride in the tow vehicle as they had no other means of transportation from breakdown site. This has not happened to me and not likely to happen to me so I really don't give a rats.
  21. I agree sport and good luck to you if you are ever stranded on a very remote road at night without a ride as uber may or may not show up. In these days being alone on a rural road can get you killed in many different ways. Thanks from Happy Camper
