  1. Great idea. I am currently using On Guard essential oil, diffused into and onto the mask surfaces then let it dry out. Its what I have and can do.
  2. Also consider that some opinions are that this may hamper our lives for 12-18 months AND there may be another round IF this virus is affected by weather and returns next year when we get similar temps. And without a proven vacine, it could be a while before things retrun to SOME normalcy, but it wont likely return to what we had before. Caution is the best approach for all of us. Be patient and be watchful
  3. I missed the detail of "complaining of flu like symptons". I understood it to be the Resident. That makes more sense now, in terms of Dr.s responsibility or better lack of. Yes, certainly careless behavior esp in light of compromised patients.
  4. I dont understand the idea of this happening ONLY by carelessness. My understanding is that transmission can also be through people who are asymptomatic and as such dont realize they pose a risk. I realize the idea of carelessness affecting the facility, but so many healthcare workers are likewise falling victim to this virus. Could this simply be a mistake? I'm confused.
  5. Suite Success, I commend you for what you are doing and esp for what your daugther/coworkers are doing. That is the spirit that will preserve us. The examples from the top are not coming across as helpful as they should be. The "ME" mentality is too undermining. I wish I could help more than this but I am in construction, and as I have said before, I work on loading dock equipment in warehouses. This has been deemed necessary services, and so we are doing what we can to keep distribution centers operating. I am over 60 and have the concern for my own well-being and use common sense approaches to getting my work done. N95s are on the truck but are often used over and over again. Its better than nothing. I hope! This too shall pass but we will never be the same. My wife was a school bus driver for special needs students, and so I understand how they NEED hugs and comfort through touching. She caught every cold and flu that was around, but this one needs special attention. She isnt working anymore.
  6. That seems rude to impose the cancelling fee. Realizing that the policy might be such but these are not typical times.
  7. Preparation is indeed the key. Liquid Roof is a stable and proven product. I have used it a number of times but it is good to apply a few coats initially, esp if your rubber roof is going to black or is showing some black.
  8. Your math seems to work correctly. Big investment on an older trailer. Of course, it also depends on what that trailer is doing for you. If it a premium brand, no longer made, and its your home, then forget about ROI, protect your home. I have done RV roofs with several products and have learned what and how to do it successfully. Of course, this also assumes that you are looking at DIY or independent installation. National companies or those supported by that network will be in that budget price. I have not really been too confident with spray on mostly because they lay it on. Rolled on products have the benefit of getting the product worked into small and difficult to reach places increasing the coverage efficiency. But many other factors apply. I have a 33' and 38' 5er I own that I will be doing during this Stay At Home period, assuming I dont get sick.
  9. I bought a pair of LED replacements for my IH4700LP. I havent installed them yet but its on the list of opportunities during the "Stay At Home" order here in Cali. Seems that those are pretty common headlight sizes.
  10. Our Dentist told us that CDC asked them to close for rest of this month. Rescheduling appts for next month.
  11. Not sure I would want to trust a bladder to transport human waste. Lots of variables could lead to damage of the bladder and the results could be messy.
  12. My livelihood is based on those kind of drivers. I specialize in dock equipment and those guys cause plenty of worn parts which I am more that glad to replace or repair. Yes they are tough on equipment.
  13. I was able to buy my last truck on 0%APR, with a $1500 rebate, a $2500 discount and a new Class 4 hitch included at no cost to me. It was a '16 which I bought in '17. The truck had been ordered for someone else and the deal fell through, it was close to what I was looking for so made the deal. Also, the 3rd truck I bought from same dealer. 3 year later, it has been a good fit. Although I was planning on using cash, when this came up, and esp because it is a work truck, which I expense the monthly payments, it was the right thing at the right time. Doesnt happen very often though. Which is why finance companies are plentiful and seem to do very well.
  14. Very interesting synopsis and much appreciated. I wish I was going to be there, as both are topics that I would like to learn more about esp. from someone with such levels of knowledge and experience. Any chance that it could be video recorded for the benefit of those of us out here not able to attend physically.
  15. My personal experience in buying an RV from a dealer was when we bought a Monaco Class A. It was at a show and was a less desireable floorplan and color scheme. But DW & I liked it, so we put a deal together. We got great financing and price BUT... and there is always a BUT. The coach had some repairs needing done since it had been on lots for a while and so, we put the list as part of the deal. We took delivery, got the walkthrough and took it home. The items on the list were confirmed during the walkthrough. We took the coach to the dealer for the warranty work, some dealer responsibility and some Monaco. They had it for 3.5 months and still had not ANY work. (We learned later that this was when Monaco was going through bankruptcy). No work was done, we picked up our NEW coach, took it to an independent repair place and they got the work done, BUT... and there is always a but, we signed a guarantee that we would pay if Monaco didnt. Well, bankruptcy in place, they didnt and we were on the hook for nearly $4000 of work. Now our deal became far less appetizing. Moral of my story is, I will never buy new again, and when I buy used, I will expect and accept doing some work but will enjoy the price difference and get what I want. There really is no great deal. 30% off MSRP is a formula that is based on somebody else math, so it is so relative for each of us. I now own a couple of quality built 5ers that I do and intend to do more, work to, esp to make them what my DW and I want for our use.

    water leak

I have had this happen in windshield replacement. When damaged one was removed, the windshield opening revealed some rusty areas that allowed for typical sealant methods to not work, so it needed some attention by adding additional sealant. I also was able to treat the rusty metal areas with a rust reforming primer to perhaps extend the life of the windshield frame. Not sure how it worked out as I sold the truck a year later, but it never did leak after that install.
  17. Perhaps repurpose a material lift used to raise parts, ie transmissions, engines, etc., to some type of mount that will articulate under the truck, or make it light enough to put on the truck bed. I like the idea of repurposing the pet stairs.
  18. Plastic plugs available at places like Ace Hardware or McMaster-Carr. They can be painted with auto paint and matching wont matter as the plug will provide a natural seperation.
  19. Why not buy a set, install on the 4700 and see if they work for her. As to 4700, dont know alot about your drivetrain, but I have one with the DT530, 8.7L. I can use LP injection if I decide to start traveling alot. Its 300/860 Allison Auto. Yes, they are noisy buggers and I am interested in what you succeed in doing to cut that down. I'm running 22.5" wheels with Toyo highway tires. Seems like alot of air infiltration through the doors too. I like the truck, very good size to use as daily, but just not comfortable to ride in. I suppose I could also do a pair of seats, better ones at least, but dont know what direction to go for that either. Our trailer is not heavy and we have a Trailersaver 32K on bags. All that works well. It is a Stalick bed which I like for the room for my tools(I'm a contractor and weld alot).
  20. Smoke smell can often be reduced alot or even eliminated with ozone air purification. I've used one in a new car, letting it run for some days until the smells(new car, etc.) are gone. Also, have construction company. I am sensitive to smoke smell and when I have it in the trucks, out comes the ozone purifier and it will run in the truck cab all weekend. Many weekends if need be.
  21. I dont have details but I ran across a company that does things like this in San Diego area, more in the east area of the County. I'm sure Google could help.
  22. Temecula. Jojoba Hills is near Temecula in Aguanga. Just east a bit. Nice park. Most cities in Southern California have ordinances that prohibit parking RVs on streets, let alone staying in them. Its tough the more West you go.
  23. In my area, there are a few companies that grind asphalt and use it for road base. I dont have any experience with it, but it sounds like a cost effective option.
  24. An RV 12V on demand pump with alligator clips to go to coach or truck batteries. Can use it as a spare for the RV or to do water transfer. Could also rig up some plumbing to use the existing pump to do the same job, without buying anything else but a few fittings and hose.
