  1. Everything you want to know about Express-Scripts pharmacy for the DoD Tricare drug program Express-scripts just announced thier flat-rate for the diabetic drug insulin, $25/month. I've been covered by TFL and Express-Scripts for 12 years and counting, that is the most I've ever seen on their website for a drug price. Two of my COPD meds do cost me $56 per quarter.
  2. When we had a 5er I bought a Boliy genset. It worked great for dry camping, would even run both the 13.5 and 15K air conditioner/heat pumps if I watched it closely. I still have and use the Boliy genset in my MH garage instead of paying monthly for public utility electricity. It will not however run the 24K air conditioner in my MH or I would take it to Key West with us for the winter (dry camp until a FHU site opens up).
  3. Side story; when I was buying new MH tires, I was offered Firestone 275/70R22.5 LR L tires (discontinued model) or Sailun same size in LR H. I thought the LR L would ride like a log truck and passed.
  4. The G does mean load rating, this explains:http://www.best-tire-review.com/about-your-tire.html
  5. My '13 Chevy K1500 tows the same, except my AT is in park. I really like the deletion of the steering wheel lock, I may remove the key and lock doors.
  6. Roger, that stumped me too. Why did the bootable USB I made off the windows 10 upgrade website revert my computer back to the original Windows install???? It took me all day to finally get W 10 installed W/updates(hoping I would avoid a mistake) An hour later it downloaded the cumulative update for July. Anyway, it's in the past now; thanks again. Addition: The way this upgraded from the USB I made off the website, it even notified me I have 10 days to revert to W 8.1 if I choose. Deja Vu ?
  7. Better late than never, I began at 08:45 this morning! I finally made time to install the new Seagate Predator HDD. I had previouslly made a USB bootable from the W10 download page. Well, when I started the computer the USB installed W8. W10 upgrade/installation is not available from W8, only W8.1, so I went through accomplishing that and the hours of updates, then installed W10. I now have all my documents and files restored from backup, plus all my additional programs. Thank you all for your patience and assistance with this computer illiterate. It's surprising how fast this new HDD is compared to the old one. BTW, Seagate has diagnostic tools on their website for their products. I downloaded the one for my HDD, and when I ran it a caution popped up informing me of the SDT error, and if I proceeded it could destroy the HDD beyond recovering data; I quit right then. I'll keep the old HDD for a few days JIC, then I'll use that 8" sledge-hammer out in the garage. I returned the transfer kit to Amazon-unneeded for this project, and it would not connect to my PATA/IDE 2.5" Hatachi HDD for a different project anyway.
  8. Yes these webpages can be tedious to read, however, are you wanting ease and convenience or accuracy? When you ask a person you receive their opinion and advice-with no guarantee they didn't forget something or simply not know the full details. For example, there are many vehicles that may be towed 4-down, a percentage of those have a 65 MPH towing limit, some a distance limit without starting the engine, etc.
  9. Follow this link to Motorhome magazines towable guides by year: http://www.motorhome.com/download-dinghy-guides/ Even if your vehicle is not in the listings, it may be on the Remco list of modifications:http://www.remcotowing.com/Towing/RecommendedVehicles.php
  10. WELCOME! Avoid the expensive tools, today you may purchase tools with a lifetime warranty from almost any store at very reasonable prices. The basics are, pliers, regular and chain-nose, a screwdriver with replaceable tips, a small adjustable wrench-it will fit both metric and SAE nuts and bolts, things like these are kept handy for those JIC moments that seem to appear almost every day.
  11. Most times when the thermister fails the refrigerator defaults to constant cooling at its maximum rate. The service manual Kirk pointed you to will be the definitive answer.

    Mt Rushmore area

Solo, those 2 CG's I mentioned are not fancy or have much to do there, just simple cheap sites to park the RV while sightseeing. We never spent much time at the RV, we were gone all day every day we stayed there. If you want an RV park with things for kids to do, those are low on the list IMO.
  13. Although RVing in a diesel pusher is the most expensive way to travel, for our health issues it is the best method of RVing. That said, the 10,00 miles you spoke of would result in 1 oil change+filters, chassis lube, genset oil N filters per year; if you have those service performed today, the cost is over $360 for any diesel engine larger than the old Cummins ISB engine. That's close your $400/yr more for gas, kinda a wash. Plus, when the new Ford V8 engine enters the RV chassis market IMO gas mileage will rise somewhat, with a bit more power than the V10.

    Mt Rushmore area

We always stay at Keystone or Custer S.D. at Custer/Crazy Horse CG. At Keystone (within sight of Mt. Rushmore) there are 2 CG's, one is Holy Smoke resort, the other is Miner's rv park and motel, I recommend the RV park. There are more RV parks nearby, but those are the only 2 we have patronized. The town of Keystone is a quaint little place, you can walk the entire town in one afternoon. No parties, loud vehicles, just a quiet small town setting, looks like the 1950's_or was back when we were there. An interesting story about Custer/Crazy Horse CG, which is about a mile out of town; one stay it was hot in the city of Custer, drove up the mountain to Custer/Crazy Horse CG and the air was cool, a few minutes later it hailed for about 10 minutes then rained.
  15. Everything arrived today! Received a delay today too, friends are spending the weekend with us, their MH is hooked up 30A+water next to the house. Looks like Tuesday is a new target date to begin with the new HDD.
  16. Email pfmaddox@att.net he is AZPETE on irv2.com. He works for HWH and freely answers questions and offers advice on any HWH system.
  17. $Spot, I'm not sure but I think the black pipe is a slightly different diameter than the white stuff.
  18. That is where we stay also. As you said, it's close and convenient. The Blackfoot Indian Nation operates shuttle bus's that pick you up at the RV park, drive across the mountain while narrating everything along the route. These are the 28-30 passenger school bus's with a heater, the red bus's are not heated, and if it begins to rain the driver does not stop to put the canvas top over the passengers until he reaches the lodge at the top on the mountain. Another benefit of the KOA is, the owner has a safe upstairs where he will store your firearms until you return from Canada, if you are crossing the border.
  19. East or West side of Glacier? On the East side there are 2 FHU RV parks at St. Mary's, on the South of Glacier there is a motel with a FHU CG, where they say you may watch bear from your RV munching on berries and stuff, packing on fat for the winter. There are many FHU CG's on the West side of Glacier. Go to allstays.com or rvparkreviews.com to view them, and read reviews.
  20. Thanks for the advice, a clean install it is. The new HDD did not arrive yet, guess I must wait more days. That external HDD kit I bought off Amazon,I'll be returning it. I just found a new one, I/0 Magic brand, in my computer storage locker. off-topic_ now Kohls accepts Amazon returns, DW saw it on TV Sunday.
  21. Gothic, that TPMS may do you for a while/under warranty. If you buy it, also buy the repeater antenna, without it maximum transmission distance is 19.5' This unit is made in Korea, the verbage doesn't address what to do if a sensor battery fails. Remember the old addage, you get what you pay for.
  22. My bad, I forgot the hot link: https://www.accessdata.fda.gov/scripts/cdrh/cfdocs/cfcfr/CFRSearch.cfm?fr=165.110
  23. I don't know when Escapees will post their event there, I would expect right after this years event. https://www.visitalbuquerque.org/event/albuquerque-international-balloon-fiesta®-2020/39749/
  24. This Vimeo shows how to test steps for proper operation. Kirk linked the service manual, between the two you have all the information needed to diagnose and repair your step issue. Power Gear/Kwikee steps are always 12V hot, the controller stops/starts the steps by disconnecting/connecting ground when increased amp-draw is detected. That's why it is so easy to get a smashed finger if 12V positive is not disconnected when working on the steps. Check the screen door magnetic switch for clean tight wire connections first, I do the simplest easiest things first=KISS.
  25. Temperatures and humidity were higher in S. Indiana than Ft. Myers Beach FL. this past weekend.
