  1. When you are getting into that size maybe you should consider a small Class A. Lot more storage and livability. Have you considered renting for a couple weeks to try out a Class B?
  2. We moved to Phoenix 3 years ago and had to switch all our doctors. We have Medicare and Aetna as a supplement. I went on the Aetna site and found doctors who were accepting patients, checked them out and made an appt. with each one selected. Your problem might be your supplement plan isn't accepted by the doctor. The doctors we needed were: PCP, Neurologist, Dermatologist, Ophthalmologist and Rheumatologist.

  4. We have had both diesel and gas. Currently we have a gas MH, 22,000 lbs) and are very happy. Easy to get service when needed. The price differential is why we went with gas, we can buy a lot of gas for the price differential. Years ago there were reasons to get diesel but I don't feel any longer.
  5. Try Volunteer.gov if you don't need an income.
  6. Welcome to the forum. You might want to look into Escapees RV Boot Camp to short cut your learning curve. Not eliminate it. Other than that, ask away.
  7. If you have a spouse ask her to drive.
  8. Welcome to the forum. First, Escapees has a Boot Camp, you should really signup for one ASAP. Make it a priority. Another great learning opportunity is Escapade, great fun, great education. Your battery does not have enough amperage to support the electrical draw of the AC, always run your generator when running the AC and not plugged in. I hope your battery recovers, you might need to get a new one depending upon its status. You probably started with 25% propane unless you have a propane generator, then that is a different story that I know nothing about. Your RV Operator's manual should have an explanation of the battery button. If you plan to do a lot of boondocking the odds of being able to stream might be questionable. The 2 satellite companies are Direct and Dish, pluses and minuses to both. Let us know if you have additional questions.
  9. If you tell us where you are located we might be able to help you find a campground.
  10. If you Ford can be towed 4 down we use the Ready Brake Elite and really like it. No need to put a braking unit in/out of the toad. Unhitch and go.
  11. Before you worry about electrical I would worry about weight. You are planning to add a lot of weight to the RV. It is not just the weight of each appliance but when food is added to both. Once you are in the RV, fully loaded get weighed to see what your weight is. Then you can make some decisions. Don't forget the weight of the additional air conditioner also.
  12. We have Samsung 7 on ATT and a ZTE on Visible, Verizon. Both are Android. We have had zero problems with either, plans on both are unlimited everything. We use Cricket on the Samsung as our primary phone and, as mentioned, Visible on the ZTE, also unlimited everything. Both can be used as hot spots. Our daughter and son-in-law have T-Mobile and it is so-so away from major cities. We were just up in the mountain NE of Phoenix and only Verizon had service, though ATT worked randomly, nothing from T-Mobile. When they would visit us in Williamsburg, VA their T-Mobile never worked.
  13. We are getting a new floor and need some feedback. We have medium color maple cabinets, our current floor is neutral dark gray with various darker spots. We went to look at vinyl planks and came how with 2, a more soldish gray which we feel is more practical and a darker brown which really looks good with the cabinets. We both feel this way. If you have a dark floor, preferably with animals(2 cats) do you have any serious complaints about the darker color, hair and the normal dust of camping in the west. Will I have to Swiffer it every day? I know it is our decision in the end, just looking for input and experience. Thanks
  14. How many of us have been stopped for a "safety check"? I don't even know what would be covered. Maybe Do the brakes work? This is just a friend helping a friend, some people can only think in negative terms.
  15. Best decision you have made for your RVing future. Remember, RV tires do not wear out the age out.
  16. Also check the mfg date of the tires, sounds like a tire that was put on to sell the RV.
  17. You are allowing yourself to be taken advantage of. Clear it up with mgmt. If they don't agree leave.
  18. Most campers are very patient and just wait for you to do your thing. Many campgrounds at all levels have pull thru sites. You need to ask. If you check in campgroundreviews.com information is given on each campground. This is crowd sourced so reasonably up to date.
  19. I tried it tonight also on a lasagna pan. Worked fine on the bottom, not so great on the sides. Also, the handle on the bottle is horrible and the squirt doesn't cover much territory. Tried it on a plate, did pretty good, not all the cheese was removed but that might have been me. Will keep testing. Not a total failure. Might try a different bottle.
  20. DNS is still missing ABC and PBS, I would rather have the channels than save $4 a month. Happy I switched to Dish and saved $50 per month. Big deal that I have to change my zip code as we move, can probably do it on their app. Will find out next year.
  21. Has anyone tried Dawn Power Wash? Sounds like using it would significantly conserve water when doing dishes.
  22. We bought a Green Mountain wifi version for our permanent site in the winter. Son-in-law got us interested, he wanted a Traeger so we went looking, Traeger needs its own pellets. We were interested and I started researching. Found the Green Mountain, told the son-in-law to take a look. He quickly was convinced to go with the Green Mountain. We keep our pellets in Home Depot buckets so we have a selection. Having the wifi running the GM is wonderful and would never get a smoker with out it. Well under $1000.
