  1. Our daughter added us to her Netflix subscription and we like a couple of the Netflix series. We cannot figure out how to record the series. We have Dish, Tivo and laptops but no place can we find an option to record episodes of a series each week automatically. Also, the only way we have figured out to record an episode to look at later is to record onto our laptop via Windows/G and then play it back via an HDMI cable on the TV later. We must be missing something obvious. Help and Thanks.
  2. I asked here for anyone who was interested in forming a plan.
  3. Why don't you form a family plan? Price starts at $40 and drops $5 for each person you add until you have 4. Don;t need to be related, just 4 people.
  4. We switched from a 5th to an A 5 years ago due to age and have no regrets. We also have a toad which needs to be unhooked before backing up. Even with that we have no regrets and are very comfortable in a 36' A. Plenty of space, plenty of storage. Probably could have gone smaller. It is also a gasser so easy to get serviced when needed.
  5. If your in-laws don't mind put a hook and eye at the top of the door. Or some 2" heavy duty velcro.
  6. It was dark, very dark, stars were awesome!!!
  7. I saw some info on IRV2.com https://www.irv2.com/forums/f287/i-5-oregon-505847.html
  8. The owner of the property was trying to sell it. The campground was developed sometime in the past for 200+? sites. The caretakers convinced her to let them open part of the campground. My guess would be eithr they left or the property is sold. Agree, bummer. One of our favorite campgrounds.
  9. This is more curiosity than anything else. I just found that Airbnb has RV sites for rent. I am not a subscriber to Airbnb but I went to the site and could not figure out how to see the sites. Has anyone done this? What do I look under? Pure curiosity. Thanks.
  10. We did something smart, which is rare, and in Nov bought a covered RV site with shed in Happy Trails. The campground that we normally spent winter in raised their rate 30% and nothing was added to or enhanced. We have family here so we knew we would probably settle here. With Covid this has been one of our best decisions. We have been going up to a NFS campground near Payson for a temperature break. Early July temps were 50-75, delightful. We go up every 3-4 weeks for 5 days or so. Nice break. If we had known what the summer was going to be like when we decided to stay we would have looked for a park in the mountains to wait it out, but overall buying the RV lot has been a good decision. We can come and go as we please and don't have to worry about having a site to come back to.
  11. We needed to replace our fronts last year and were hung up in Provo, we were going to wait until we got to Phoenix but we had a Les Schwab across the street. Called at 9, had 2 new Toyos installed by 3. No discount but then there was no hassle and the tires were in their warehouse. Easiest tire purchase we ever made. Forget a discount, convenience and speed sure won.
  12. As long as generator is not propane with a flame and refrig is running on 12v so there is no flame you don't have a problem with fuel stops. There are various ways to keep the MH "cooler" when driving, run the generator and air conditioning or run the exhaust fans(all this depends on outside temperature). Our refrig is a residential model so we need to run the inverter. In my mind why not run the inverter all the time, then you don't need to remember to turn it of fand on. Happy travels with your MH.
  13. I started seeing(or should I say noticing) them 6-9 months ago. Great idea!!
  14. You might want to Google "camper van kits" as a starting point
  15. Ask the campground where the local Propane distributor is and go there.
  16. We just put them in a cabinet, nothing in between. There is so much other noise in a MH you will never notice plates rattling.
  17. With a MH you can program you generator to turn on if there is a power failure. That should take care of any temperature concerns.
  18. Is there a cap? Never been slowed down.
  19. There are custom builders out there, you would probably be better off going that way but until you RV you don't really know what you want. I have recently seen a mfg. that had essentially drop-in units for a van. There are many options out there but I would think a custom build would be an easier solution.
  20. And there is also the major concern of weight.
