  1. So that's much faster than any "Barbers Pole" I've ever seen turning. Rod
  2. I go to bed very early so all the "Prime Time" TV shows I want to watch I go to the network website and watch them at a time convenient for me. Most of the time the first 15 to 20 minutes go pretty good, then when a commercial is playing everything just stops. I have tried leaving it for a bit to see if it would resume, but most of the time it does not. I have to "Reload" the page and then it takes usually two attempts to get through the 120 seconds of commercials. It's infuriating to see just 20 seconds remaining and it stops again. I used to just let the program run and then try to be sure I came back before the end and start it over. I could sometimes skip many of the commercials that repeat over and over. Then I'd find the first section of the program was all that ran and the computer screen would have some commercial frozen on the screen. Anyone have a fix ? I do not sign up for any of the network "Accounts". The shows are broadcast over the airways for free so why should I have to sign up for or use some "App" just to watch the show??? I guess I could dig out the old VCR and see if it will work to record. I never had luck with any of the digital systems. Rod
  3. but a really fast one. Most turn pretty slow, at least the one's I've seen. What is the typical RPM for a drive shaft? How much does it vary? Questions in my mind but don't think I've ever really asked or tried to figure out. Rod
  4. Wonder who JW is Haunting now? Rod
  5. Wonder what it looks like in motion? Rod
  6. Wish I could. I had nothing but problems with the RV thermostats and now with my Mini Split system I am so happy. Set it and forget it, well not really. I wish it was like the thermostat in my car where you can actually do that and it will activate the heat or cooling to bring to your desired temp. I thought the "AI" button on the system did that for a bit the first time I used it, but the next time I tried it seemed to stick on what ever I used last. Cooling or Heat. Am planning on a "Service" call soon and hopefully the tech will give the system a clean bill of health and explain the "A I" setting. Rod
  7. So how many batteries did you get? You are using 4 if I remember correctly, but it looks like a lot more than that. I noticed the "Do not double Stack sticker." under the top few. Rod
  8. Has anyone every had their cat use the "Litter box" while you are in the process of cleaning it? I had a couple cats years ago and only had a single litter box and I cleaned it once a week. ( Not enough and not often enough I now realize). I never had a problem though. One of the cat's would venture outside several times a day while the other one always got in trouble when she went out. I currently have a "Conventional litter box" and a larger one I "Built". It seems lately each time I start cleaning one my cat jumps in and makes a urine clump. Thankfully it's not the other. I do clean at least every other day as I find it much easier than trying to sift through more days of stuff. Rod

    Volvo Air Tank Woes

Thanks for the info. Best wishes for a complete recovery as soon as humanly possible. Rod
  11. Every one is new when they first start. Not to complicate your situation, but when I started I formed an LLC in Montana first, used Iowa for many years as a domicile before finally making my way to South Dakota to complete the requirements to obtain a South Dakota Drivers license. I had been a member of a mail forwarding service for a year prior, it just took me the time to make the personal visit to S.D. to fulfill the DL requirements. I have used two Mail Services and my current one is by far more user friendly than the first. Rod
  12. Thanks again Chad for the information and how you present it. At least for me it seems very understandable in a real life situation. I now more understand the reason for your current build I believe. The day I know I will need to start boondocking (or will have the ability). I hope to schedule an appointment with you to provide an estimate for a system that will allow me live off grid. Rod
  13. If you can I would get everything set up for your Domicile before the purchase. It's not impossible to do it the other way, but I'd think it might be easier to it that way. Auto dealers have experience with registration in states different than where there are and are usually a good resource, not sure about "RV Dealers" or if you are making the purchase from a private owner. Rod
  14. I'm sure it's on the forum somewhere, but for the best assistance listing the engine size, make and year would be nice. I wish I could help, but I rely on professional mechanics for most of my stuff. I can twist the wrench under the watchful eye of the professional but it usually cost me more. (They still charge by the hour and I'm not nearly as fast as they can be.) I hope someone with knowledge will be able to respond soon. Good Luck, Rod
  15. It's been done before. Tampa RV Show, not sure what year. Not a hot day, but the Mini Split was running for sure inside the RV and of course the entry door hardly ever closed. The Manufacturer had the power cord unplugged and hanging near a window. There were some other "Unique" items on display too. Anyone remember another? Rod
  16. It's supposed to be 13'3", but I have not put a measurement to it. Rod
  17. I'm so glad I don't have to do the Atlanta trip anymore. I took each route multiple times. Each has it's potential for backups, depending on the drivers on the road at the time. Late night was the best time to go through and usually worked well with my timeline. Rod
  18. Looking forward to the photos. Here is the view of my 42 foot with only three plumbing vents protruding. How many of those big panels would fit up there ? Rod
  19. Lot's of info to review. I have read most and almost thought the cost for Medicare would be near what I'm currently paying for BC/BS, but then I reread the info. I have been very healthy for the majority of life, but recently was told I have a huge risk for an event due to a high cholesterol and some mild hypertension. I didn't do well with Statin drugs many years ago and only recently had the elevated blood pressure on subsequent visits to my health care provider. I'm also a health care provider and you know what they say about nurses who are patients..... I'm trying not to be that nurse/patient, but it's hard. I was able to sign up for the Medicare card last week and in a few weeks I will check with my mail box to see if the info has arrived. At first I thought why have all the stuff included with the card sent, but it might have important info in it. I'd rather they send the card with a link to an on line source for information that is able to be updated as needed and not forms that may be from 1999 (exaggeration). I won't be taking Social Security until forced to. My plan is to keep working and seeing the USA. Rod
  20. Carl told us he is planning to let everyone know when he is able to make the decision. I'm sure he will post here in addition to Facebook. Rod
