Thinking about new seats for the Volvo

Recommended Posts

I'm considering investing in new seats for the Volvo and I have not yet found any numbers on the existing ones. So I thought I would check here to see if anyone had done this and what they got or what brand name I should be looking into. Mine leak air pretty bad.

Thanks

Brad

Just found a small blurb on the resource guide so I have the Sears elite 80 to look for.

I keep thinking about new a new seat too Brad, then I think about how often it just sits there empty. Wouldn't do any good to get a set, cause the only person who seems to ride in the passenger seat is me when I have work done on the truck and I talk the mechanic into following me home when I pick the truck up. Will be watching your adventure in finding a good buy.

We put in Sears Elite 80 seats about 9 yrs ago. Replaced the stock Nationals that were shot.

Night and day. We like them.

Best price we found was Kenworth Atlanta. They were like $1300 a set. Although 9 yrs ago. 🤔

Bill, I shopped seats about a year and a half ago and was disappointed to find that they no longer offer the Elite 80.  It ended up not making any difference, since I ultimately did nothing, but I'd always loved the feel of those Elite 80s.

Brad whatever you decide to buy make sure you go sit in them before you purchase. Bigger dealerships will have lots of seats that are plumbed with air so you can see how they feel. I was pretty set on the elites a few years ago. When we went to look my wife fell I love with the Bostrom Wideride with memory foam and a bunch of other stuff. At that point wouldn’t have mattered if I wanted the elites or not. Anyway you can get a really good feel before you purchase.

We were looking for seats once upon a time but never dropped the money. We were also advised to find a big display at a truck stop, and spend some time trying the seats out.  In our limited travels we have found 2.  Joplin TA 44 in Missouri, and Kenly 95 in North Carolina.
