We are anticipating a lot of excitement over this launch so to avoid overloading the system, we are limiting the number of downloads per day. We'll manage this by issuing user specific invitations to download the app. To receive an invite to download this app please go to https://openroads.fueldiscountapp.com/ and register. TSD will be sending the limited invites every hour in the order they are received. If the daily download limit has been reached you will receive a message with that information asking you to please try again the next day............ Thank you for being a customer. Anyone have success downloading this new app?

Howdy Friz, I had to call and speak to a lady who helped me get it downloaded, it now works but it isn't as good as the old app. The old app would let you make a route and show fuel prices along that route, the new one doesn't do that hopefully this will be updated as time goes on. Dave Finally received the invitation email and I downloaded the new app. Had trouble registering. Called and was told to enter all the numbers on the card not just the ones in bolded large font. Never used the "route" function on the old card so I can't say I miss it. Otherwise it appears the same. Gee, ask for directions? Never. Thanks for the suggestion. Kevin211
Seems like the program is slowly getting to the point where your not going to save a lot once the fees are added in
Trainer
Do not know where you have been Kevin, but at Houston TA, today you save 71 cents per gallon with a 65 cent transaction fee. So, take on 125 gallons, save $88.88 dollars off posted cash price, minus $0.65, minus $8.88 equals saving $79.35. So works for me just fine. Twotoes
I just changed from an iPhone to a Samsung. I registered for the new app but have not yet been given an invite. I am in So Dakota and leave Tues for AZ. Checked on the old app and see that the normal TSD discount price at Loves for diesel is about $2.49 a gal but at T/A it is about $1.89 to $1.99 a gal. A difference of .50 cents a gal. Both quotes are the discount price not the more expensive cash price. palmeris
So I got the invite and downloaded the Android app that is called Fuel Card. Seems to work better than the EFS app, faster to display and update. Also got this email yesterday about out of network use and fee of $1.00 which seems reasonable. So you always want to use the app and check real time for the available discount prior to fueling. Fee Change AnnouncementIn accordance with the original out-of-network notification you received on August 1st, TSD will implement a $1 per transaction fee for any fuel purchased at stations that are not in our discount network. This out-of-network fee will be effective for all purchases made on or after November 9th, 2020. Our desire is to remain transparent with our fees so that you understand: how the program works, what you can save and how TSD is compensated. The reason for this adjustment in our fee structure is to cover the costs associated with processing these out-of-network transactions. Ultimately, where you fuel and what you save is your business but by making this adjustment, we can help offset the fees to process these transactions and continue to keep the fees lower on the discounted locations. Our program was designed to save you money so maybe you can extend that vacation or invest a little more time with those you love. Help us, help you by planning your fuel stops at in-network stations to maximize your discounts. Our new TSD Open Roads app only shows stations with discounts, so there is no longer any confusion on which stores save you the most at the pump.EFS Migration and Service Interruption Announcement EFS has announced that it will migrate it's current system to the new WEX platform on Saturday November 7th, starting at 1:30 pm cst. During this time your card will continue to work for purchasing fuel however, you will be unable to get an advance while fueling. It's possible there may be issues with the app and it's likely receipts for purchases will be temporarily unavailable. If you are a commercial carrier you will be unable to login to the EFS system and receive EFS checks during this maintenance period. This should be completed by the end of the weekend and back to normal by Monday morning. If we learn of any changes to that timeline, we will pass that information along immediately. Drive safe and thank you for being on the Team!
franco-bolli
Just returned to South western Idaho from a 7674mile round trip to Key West, FL. I did not use the EFS card for all Fuel purchases but here are the data for what I did use: Total gallons purchased with EFS card: 339 gallons Average cost per gallon of purchases based on pump price : $5.84 Average cost per gallon of purchases using the EFS card: $5.24 Total pump cost : $1842.02 Total charges using EFS card: $1729.01 total fees for EFS: $18.17 Savings using the EFS card: $94.84 I found that I could not purchase DEF with the card. Loves stations has the lowest fees TA has the highest fees, followed by SAPP Bros, and then Petro. I used a Discover card for most of the other purchase as it had a 5% back, up to $1500 of fuel for May and June 2022. Burned through that pretty quick too. Most times, the amount shown in the app, was really close to what Gas Buddy showed for stations nearby, but with a lot less access for truck/trailer to get in and out (52 feet end to end) The Phone app is not the easiest to use when rolling down the road through. Many of the stations overlap within an area displayed and the are has to be expanded to see the individual stations. Hope this helps someone understand what can be saved with the EFS Open Road card.
