Kirk W Posted May 29, 2016 Report Posted May 29, 2016 It looks like you can't order the hand held wand alone but it comes as part of the kit. With the thing priced at $350 for "preorders" it should be a good product. A couple of years ago we replaced the standard RV shower head with the Body Spa by Oxygenics from a vendor at Escapade and we love it. I hated to shower in the present RV until we made the change but this was a major improvement. Good travelin !...............KirkFull-time 11+ years...... I'mdonewiththis forum Posted May 30, 2016 Report Posted May 30, 2016 I put the same shower head as Kirk did in my fiver. They really do work! I am real happy with mine. It seems like they have more water flow, but they don't.

I'mdonewiththis forum Posted May 30, 2016 Report Posted May 30, 2016 Remember that old saying "if water is scarce shower with a friend" Bill That would be rather difficult in the little shower my fiver has....... Besides, my wife probably would be against me showering with a friend and not her.
SWharton Posted May 30, 2016 Report Posted May 30, 2016 We are thinking about getting the Ecocamel, supposedly better than the Oxygenics. Lot of people very happy with it.
Nolan Posted May 30, 2016 Report Posted May 30, 2016 Another vote for Oxygenics shower head. Have had ours since the summer of 2009. Poor water pressure at a campground? No problem.
oscarvan Posted May 30, 2016 Report Posted May 30, 2016 It needs at least 35psi of pressure. Don't think my water pump puts out that much. Previously a 2017 Forest River, Berkshire 38A, "The Dragonship". https://dragonship.blog/
Kirk W Posted May 30, 2016 Report Posted May 30, 2016 It needs at least 35psi of pressure. Don't think my water pump puts out that much. Most RV water pumps are set to shut off at 45# but the low pressure would depend upon how much water volume is being asked for. If it is only the shower, then it probably is enough. JimK Posted May 30, 2016 Report Posted May 30, 2016 I use a standard RV shower head and have no problems taking a shower with about 1 gallon of water. I turn on the propane heater and set a timer. Depending on temperatures, the hot water is about right after about 20 minutes. It takes about a pint or so of water down the drain for the hot water to reach the shower. I wet down, turn off the water, soap up, and then rinse with a slow stream of water.
2gypsies Posted May 30, 2016 Report Posted May 30, 2016 JimK: Catch that pint or so going down the drain and use it elsewhere - dishes or flushing the toilet. Full-timed for 16 YearsTraveled 8 yr in a 2004 Newmar Dutch Star 40' Motorhome and 8 yr in a 33' Travel Supreme 5th Wheel
sandsys Posted May 30, 2016 Report Posted May 30, 2016 In my last van I would turn on the water heater and set the timer for 10 minutes. Then turn off the heater and take a shower using only the hot water faucet. Perfect temp and nothing extra down the drain. Yarome Posted June 4, 2016 Report Posted June 4, 2016 We are thinking about getting the Ecocamel, supposedly better than the Oxygenics. Lot of people very happy with it. QUITE! I've had Oxygenics in my rigs for years and have always been very happy with them.. until I tried the Ecocamel. Either one is going to be a massive improvement over most stock showerheads. I consider it almost a 'must do' upgrade for anyone that spends any amount of time in their rig. If you already have an oxygenics, getting an Ecocamel probably isn't worth the price unless you 'really' need the extra water savings, but they are so similar in price I would recommend it over an oxygenics for a first time upgrade. (the pro versions 3 different water pattern settings is quite nice as well).
Smitty77_7 Posted June 4, 2016 Report Posted June 4, 2016 JimK: Catch that pint or so going down the drain and use it elsewhere - dishes or flushing the toilet. Nope. This is where you really share with your friends - use the cold water to wet them down... Be safe, have fun, Smitty 04 CC Allure "RooII" - Our "E" ride for life!
