We carry some cash because of my mother. Whenever we visited her she would hand me $500 to $1000 in cash and I would pay for any meals out, etc., and she expected me to keep the rest. When she died a few years ago there was cash hidden everywhere. Between that cash and getting our annual Costco Visa rebate in cash, I still have a few hundred in cash left. I am more comfortable holding $200 to $500 n cash and am glad to not be carrying thousands any more. We rarely use cash for anything, preferring to use a credit card or an occasional check. The debit card gets used to get cash in foreign countries, so I have to look up the pin number. My father learned while being a banker that rich people used credit and kept their credit cards paid off. I also figure that if things go downhill fast, I am not going to be one of the survivors.

I am using the Calyx Institute plan on the M2000. I had the plan on the Linkzone 2 for one year and decided to upgrade last month. It is working great where we are for the winter. I will know later in spring if it works better than the Linkzone 2 while we travel, but I suspect it will. Edit: I have done some speed tests over the last few weeks here in Mesa AZ. The fastest was 162Mpbs and the one I just did was more typical at 92Mpbs down and 27Mpbs up. The Linkzone 2 plan was 15 to 20Mbps here.

We spent two weeks in Hawaii this fall in rental condos. Very nice, but everything is more expensive than on the mainland. If you can handle the budget, it is a great idea. Another choice is Mexico and you can drive and camp there. That seems scary to many.

It sounds like we will know in late February if those using a Mobley are affected. I moved our Mobley SIM to a Unite Explore mobile hotspot years ago, so hopefully we are OK. If not, I will buy a newer hotspot and move the SIM again. All I know is the Mobley uses the Qualcomm MDM9215 chipset. I can't find information on if this chipset is affected by the 3G shutdown.

From our experience upgrading a gas Class A, the sway bar would do the most for this issue. But our experience was from about 2002 with a Workhorse W22 chassis.

Zulu: We had a 2002 Dolphin on the W22 Workhorse chassis and spent about $4K on suspension upgrades and it then drove quite well. Not as well as our 2004 Newmar Dutch Star on a Spartan chassis, but the Newmar cost a lot more. In other words, the Workhorse ride can be fixed with upgrades.

We put our cell phones on Wi-Fi and can get calls and texts that way.

Same here, we really love our 2020 Ford Escape Hybrid Titanium AWD. As long as there are hills and mountains, we get better overall mpg on highways than city, up to about 44mpg. City driving the tank mpgs are more like 34 (lots of short trips) to 40mpg.

I agree to check the plans to see which is cheaper for you. I do take prescriptions, but they end up with a zero copay via my Part D plan, so my out of pocket is the Part D premium. I do feel lucky

Probably the same Aetna Silverscript Part D I have. My cost is $6.30/month and it runs through Caremark and I get 90 day supplies through Costco Pharmacy.

That might work, but you can't spoof a Jetpack into looking like a phone and might get detected and shut down. The smart ones are using something like a MoFi4500 ($300) and making configuration changes so it looks like a phone to the network.

I know this sounds a lot compared to paying $25 on a Party plan for Visible, but there are many who need more than Visible supplies.
