  1. I did it too. No chance I'll get picked for beta program, especially in Colorado. I think it's just a way to gather email and snail mail addresses so that once they do get a service to sell, we'll be inundated with spam. ðŸĪŠ
  2. As someone who has spent his whole life in and out of gyms, I can tell you that the gyms on Kirk's Covid Chart and the one you are describing Linda are probably nothing close to the same. Most gyms are full of sweaty, hard breathing younger folks going full blast. They are filling the atmosphere with their exhalations at a rapid pace. If only one or two of them are carrying an airborne disease, most likely everyone else is inhaling it. If your gym meets that description, then stay away from it. But, if it's like most gyms I've seen in elderly facilities, you don't have much to worry about. You're probably risking your health more by staying out of the gym. I would advise to try and go when there is the least amount of activity.
  3. If I'm not mistaken, you should have a backflow valve on your coach at the city water inlet. If it's not working properly, when you take the city line off and run the pump, you would be spraying water back out of your city water inlet.
  4. It was scientists who said 600 years ago that the earth was flat. It was scientists who 200 years ago said that we should cut our arteries and bleed out the sickness. It was scientists who said in January of this year that Covid 19 wasn't transmitted from human to human. It was scientists who said in March of this year that wearing a mask provided no protection, even though scientists all wore masks. It will be scientists 200 years from now who will look back and laugh at what scientists are saying today. But, it's the best we've got. To me, it's just common sense that if this is an airborne disease, wearing a face covering will slow down it's transmission. What's the big deal? Wear a mask, it won't hurt anything.
  5. Me neither. I've got two twenty dollar bills in my billfold which have been there for over six months.
  6. All I know about this virus is what I read. How long will this go on? It seems logical that the better job we do of suppressing the spread, the longer it will go on.
  7. Because "my" money is in the bank in one location and I'm in another place and they are delivering "my" money to me instead of making me go back to where it is to get it.
  8. Rod, I have a question for you. I can understand how the Crosstrek might fit in the toyhauler, but how do you get out of the Crosstrek after you drive it up in there? Do you crawl out the back, or do you just ride inside to the next destination? 🙂
  9. Why don't you run it by here and get some experienced amateur opinions.
  10. Much depends on the quality of the device. A new phone with all the latest radio bands and carrier aggregation will outperform an older Jetpack and vice versa. Another consideration is whether you receive extra hotspot bandwidth when you add that hotspot for $10. Do you need the extra bandwidth? The biggest consideration may be convenience. Do you have peripheral devices operating off of the hotspot, like cameras and such. If so, leaving a Jetpack at home in one place all the time is much easier than having everything reset when you arrive home from grocery shopping with your phone.
  11. I guess I just got in the habit of including a site number. Several years ago I got turned down because someone was already using the address, so I started using a site number that no one else would have.
  12. Yes, they require an address. I always just looked up an RV Park in the general area online and used their address. If they had 110 sites, I would use Site #230 to be sure that no one else is using the same address.
  13. I think this is a bad example to make your point. I've checked into several RV parks which charged extra for 50 amp service. I've told them I had a 50 amp RV, but didn't need but the 30 amp outlet. Every one of them responded that if I wasn't plugged into the 50 amp outlet, I didn't need to pay for 50 amp service. After all, if you're plugged into the 30 amp outlet, you can't use the extra electricity provided by a 50 amp outlet. The whole point of them charging more for a 50 amp outlet is because you can use more electricity through it, as in running two a/c and water heater and microwave, etc. at the same time.

Sounds great, I'd like a cup. Can your Learjet land in Durango, or do I need to drive all the way to Albuquerque?
  15. Translation: Once we're ready for your device. It's not like you're going to do anything to make your device "ready".
  16. It doesn't need to be a diesel for flatland driving. It does need to have a bigger footprint, better braking, and a more robust suspension. I wouldn't tow that trailer with less than a 3500 series. A 2500 would be minimal. I like a margin for error.
  17. Way too much trailer for that Tahoe.
  18. It works both ways. My parents were successful, spent many years full timing, and enjoyed their retirement. We kids told them to spend their last dime on the way to the funeral home, we didn't want any of it. They mis-timed it a bit. The last few years of my mother's life, we kids were supporting her. That causes family fights also. 🙂
  19. What age group and location are those plans for? My Omaha Plan G is $134 compared to $369 on your chart. Unless I'm reading it wrong.
  20. In the past, I called them and they sent me o-rings at no charge.
  21. I got detoured onto one of those gravel backroads going into Lead one time. It rained. I was covered in black silt end to end. There's a reason they're called the black hills. Coal=coal dust.
  22. Insurance is a waste of money, until it's not.
  23. Here's all the tire plants if anyone wants to sort through them.
  24. Part of this depends on your RV. In mine, a standard Queen length would hit the cabinet when the slide came in. As for weight, only you can decide if you're near maximum weight for your RV. You can buy the short Queen mattresses many places, including online at Amazon. I didn't need a Queen, so I bought a Full size, which is the same length as a short Queen. I bought a 12" mattress in a box from Walmart, best mattress I've ever owned.
