  1. The only concern would be, your car spotting a cute little Tesla C and getting off course. Ya, bored X 30.
  2. I have determined that all of the home-made deterrents work great, It put them out to keep elephants away, haven't seen any signs of them in/around the RV - ever.
  3. When the switch is fully-depressed the circuit should be open to turn off the light, no continuity. The thermister is powered separately from the light bulb, as it is always powered any time the refrigerator is turned on. Have you downloaded the PDF STAFFNON linked? I think it has a wiring diagram.
  4. expect the heat underneath to cause moisture collection on metal, especially if the furnace is not vented to the outside-exactly like your built-in furnace. LP when burned emits water vapor. Also, there is the issue of exhaust fumes to consider. Take care and do it right.
  5. I think it was TechnoRV who wrote an April fools article a few years ago about his self-driving car. He programmed it to meet them in Jacksonville. The link is here somewhere, perhaps someone will remember better than me.
  6. Tires made in the U.S.A. Where are my tires made? The bottom line to both of those links is, ALL tires sold in the U.S.A. must meet the same USDOT standards. If any tire doesn't have a USDOT number in the sidewall, it cannot legally sold in the U.S.A.
  7. The towing capacity of every vehicle is stated in the owners manual, if there is no towing capacity listed, it is not designed to tow anything. When the towing capacity is defined, that is not the whole story. The total weight of the vehicle when fully-loaded affects towing capacity. This towing calculator may help explain. Almost any vehicle's owners manual should be available for download on the net.

RandyA; Do you agree with this: https://www.rvtechlibrary.com/electrical/sinewave.php which indicates most electronics do not run properly on a modified sine wave?
  9. This: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AyHG2biVnVw BTW, there is an old saying, "don't force it, just use a bigger hammer".
  10. Docj I read all the fine print about Zelle, talked it over with my wife and we decided to never use Zelle. If your money goes missing or to wrong destination, the way i read it, you have no recourse.
  11. I wonder which driver is more dangerous, the overloaded Ford driver or the driver filming while driving?
  12. Great minds think alike. Well, it was just an EWAG for me. My door switches (Norcold has 2 on double door units) get sticky once in a while after the MH has been in storage a few weeks, a few flips with my thumb usually gets the light working again. I've gotta clean them when I get aroundtuit.
  13. Yea, but we all agree, there is a problem. Solutions however, are elusive. Then, there is this: “Complaining about a problem without posing a solution is called whining.” ― Teddy Roosevelt
  14. Spiders are attracted to the odor in LP gas and will build a nest in the mixing tube and orifice. When you clean these, do not use hard metal as it can scratch or mar the surfaces, which disrupts the fuel flow and burners flame size and shape.
  15. Sorry, I should have stated, my reading glasses are from the Dollar store, not prescription. If I could have a "do-over' on the cataract surgery I would have requested my vision be made for close/medium instead of distance; as my vision is getting more distant than it was a year after surgery. This is with the standard Medicare replacement lens, perhaps a more high-end lens would be better. Also, technology has advanced rapidly since my 10 yr old surgery.
  16. Still home John, DW has shingles in her mouth, it surfaced a week ago today.
  17. I'll second that! When the outcry to eliminate mental hospitals was successful back in the 1980's, that IMO began the decay of our mental health system. However, one cannot force them to recover. Talked to a panhandler several years, a fellow veteran. He was making more(we discussed living money) on that street corner that I make from 3 retirements.
  18. You will find the service manual for your Dometic/ATwood water heater here: http://bryantrv.com/docs.html. It will show you how to disassemble the burner assembly, clean everything, then re-assemble and adjust the burner flame.
  19. Right kirk. That's why the hair-raising stunts with high-voltage Van De Graaff generators do no harm to the subject; thousands of volts, no significant amperage. Just for fun:
  20. I have the standard lens that Medicare pays for, as time progresses I get more near-sighted. Today I'm sitting approx. 3' from my computer screen, anything closer blurs. Trouble with that is print font is too small. I have monitor font set at 125% just to read. Reading glasses do not focus at the correct distance for my desk monitor, if I move the monitor closer I have no place to do paperwork. Years ago I worked in maintenance at a factory, since I was wearing glasses to see at a distance back then, all I needed was my prescription safety glasses under the hood for chipping. I no longer require safety glasses, just reading. I do have a cheap set of plain glass with reading (bifocal) magnification I use around the garage/workshop. Getting old is inconvenient.☹️
  21. I seem to remember it takes 48VDC to carry enough current to kill a human. We all know the results of lower voltage, some of us with scars as proof.
