  1. Millennial favored trading app "Robin Hood" is reporting 22k Tesla trades, by first time investors, in the last 3 days. Think that might contribute some to the rollercoaster?
  2. You buy it back, I buy it from you, salvage title and all. I would pick it up from wherever it's currently sitting, you'd never see it.
  3. That took way longer than it should have. Almost any modern vehicle that experiences flood conditions should be a candidate for a write-off. There's too much electronics on board, never mind the drivetrain issues. ETA: Glenn, find out what your buy-back will be. Maybe we can work a side deal.
  4. Curious how much of this will turn out to be a bubble? It's been a quick run up. We pulled out too soon, naturally.
  5. Let's do some quick math. The volume of the pump chamber, multiplied by the number of strokes, equals a very small volume to return the lines to pressurized status. The quick bleed down corroborates this. What's the closest thing to the plunger pump? The Davco? You've changed the filter, and looked at the check ball, but have you installed a rebuild kit? New ball, spring, and seat ring. It doesn't take a very big spot on the o-ring to cause a complete failure.
  6. The US Border agents take a dim view of foreign nationals entering their territory, intending to put American citizens out of work.
  7. Turn the key to "On", whichever air gauge doesn't work is connected to the leaking sensor. It's probably either 1 of the low pressure alarm switches, or a gauge sending unit. There's a collection of them, due to monitoring 2 separate air systems, with backups for safety. Unthread or disconnect the Push to Connect fitting and replace it. This might be a Freightliner specific part, but other brand dealers might have it, if one's closer.
  8. Then you have the twin disk. Yours isn't flat towable, while the manual is. There's a difference in the option code.
  9. Not true. There's two versions of clutches on the 453.
  10. That's a bummer, Glenn. I'm betting the clutch actuator went, but the clutch itself should be checked now, too. Keep us in the loop.
  11. What year? Given the flood, if the clutch actuator wasn't changed, now's the time. Easiest to change, among all the other clutch parts, and most likely to fail following wet conditions.
  12. Check the temperature where the thermo fuse is mounted. Determine whether you have a temperature problem, or a hardware issue.
  13. Some news: Jalopnik. The conflict has been brought before the ITC.
  14. What about moving company tractors, with the extra moving box behind the sleeper?
  15. The RT is 111.5 inches. Longer than a smart car by a country mile. Angle loading time.
  16. Short run, theoretically protected from physical damage, and another set of connections to cause a "hood up" problem. Would raise the cost of a new truck by another $20, too.
  17. Depends on what you need. Air bags, shocks, and the like are nearly universal. Cummins parts, ditto. Eaton transmission and differential parts are widely available. Volvo engine and transmissions, not so much. NAPA, Traction, even O'Reilly's carry lots of HDT parts. There's even Amazon.
  18. That's a really cool project, Vern. I've contemplated black powder, but I don't have 40 years to stretch out the build. I may have to buy ready to shoot.
  19. I firmly believe that wind is inferior to solar in cost, efficiency, and payback. As far as ease of use, now that panel prices have come down, and tilting is as common, solar wins.
  20. I've said the same thing, in more than one thread, but I'm quoting it to make sure that some eyes see it again.
