  1. Could have even been dumb luck. I don't remember the sequence, whether it was running before I pulled the battery, or it was powered up on the cord. The next time we take it outside, I'll experiment with it.
  2. Brand new unit, brand new battery. Also, not using the battery, running off USB power supply. The battery will only be installed when we want to take the JetPack roving with us.
  3. We only have one renewal under our belt, but our 7730 did the same thing on the last renewal. Mind you, we paid it in store, in cash, rather than auto-pay.

Bumping this back up, as summer travel plans get finalized. May 20th is the official holiday, so the Rally/gathering will commence after that. Any interest in tours/sightseeing should be added here, to allow a head-count to gauge interest.
  5. A good reason to hold on to property, is to use it as proof of intent. As a Canadian, we need to be able to prove that we have closer ties to Canada than the US, should the IRS come looking for tax $$$. Property ownership helps fulfill some of that requirement.
  6. Called it on April 17. 😀😁😀 Seriously, that was some good sleuthing by the shop. Intermittent faults are a bear.

Thanks, Carl. I may take you up on the offer.

Leaning on the boss to get either a pulled pork, or cheeseburger party together for 1 supper. Probably run about $5 for a plate, with a drink. Any interest? This could either be a local entrepreneur, or the Rotary BBQ crew doing the cooking. Let us know.
  9. Titan Fuel Tanks Saves room in the bed. The DegZee is a decent tank, if bed storage isn't an issue.
  10. Cronos is getting better exposure, being on a US based exchange, but I'm thinking that may bite them. There's so much money being pumped into their stock price, there has to be a correction coming their way. The pump and dump game in full effect.
  11. 15 years ago, was Monaco installing inverters? They used to be a high $$$ box of mystery. I know it would depend on the customer order sheet, but if this wasn't custom ordered, I can see a dealership scrimping to put a lower price tag in the window. Especially when there was already an on-board generator. Silence didn't have the value it does now.
  12. Up 17% on the Coca-Cola news. Buckle up.

Never say never, but it seems to be about a week too early for us. We usually work the first week of Oct, then visiting with family in the way south eats more time, to the point we usually cross into the US around the 3rd week of Oct.

Totally do-able, assuming smaller groups. We're the busiest Jun to August, but early reservations should handle that. Right now, we're looking at the last week of May, after the long weekend. That's the unofficial start of camping season in Canada, and we're typically full. We will be officially taking reservations beginning May 1st, via the website: http://Rotarycampground.com

Bumping this back up, thanks to Jim (of Jim and Wilma fame) for getting me off my butt. Right now, the tentative time frame is looking like either May 21-25, or 27th, on.The long weekend will be the 18th-20th, but if demand warrants, we could have it that weekend too. We'd just need to get reservations made earlier. We have about 12 sites with 50 amp power/water that will handle a typical rig, and probably 5 30 amp power/water/sewer sites. I'm not sure yet, if there will be a full blown agenda, or more of an informal gathering. Let me know what the preferences are. I have talked to a mobile mechanic, who is willing to help any who need it. This time of year is good, due to a possibility of a late "Break-up". This is when the frost is coming out of the ground, and road bans go into effect for a while. Load capacity shrinks, so sitting becomes de-rigeur. Let me know what you guys are thinking. On Thursdays, the local burger chain has a free car show, as I've posted before. A local service group (Rotary) runs a free tour Tues-Thurs, that gives a good history of the area. Rita is thinking of a small painting project, for anyone interested. Any other wants, or needs, let us know. I don't really know what I'm doing, but I can muddle my way through.

Bringing this back up. Right now, the middle of May looks like the best bet, before Victoria Day long weekend. I've talked to a couple guys, and have tentative approval to stop by a couple trucking company yards. One specializes in heavy haul, off road work, and has some huge rigs. The other is a frac company, and has trailers like Jack talks of building. Their new control vans even have slides now. May is too early for fruit or vegetable harvest, but the local Farmers Market will be in operation, with homemade treats, and handicrafts. Give us ideas for your interests, we'll do our best to find something to look at.

Wondering if there's any interest in a North Rally, in 2019? Sometime between May 1 & September 30. The location would be based in Grande Prairie, Alberta. Depending on the time of season, and toad vehicles, a trip to grizzly country is possible. Tech seminars might be possible, and would be tuned towards demand. Golf is available to all skill levels. Farm tours might be possible, again depending on demand. Let me know if there's any interest from the Alaska bound, or returning crowd.
  19. He's reporting code 38. Overload. Sounds like a problem with the wiring between the generator breaker and the transfer switch.
  20. Parks with cable supplied are out there, but it's not overly common. More common in the snowbird areas, than north.
  21. Dohhh! Forgot to update the thread. We're back in Grande Prairie, working our summer job, at the Rotary Campground . Stop in, if you're in the neighborhood.
  22. Eric, that sounds like a thermal fuse. It trips on high temperature, like when the flame backfires outside the chimney.
