Wanderin
Time to start thinking about hitting the road - kids are heading back to school. I can't believe school in some areas has already started. YIKES!! As retired school teachers, we are sure glad school didn't start until closer to Labor Day. We plan on heading to Gettysburg around the 12th of September and then roam down the East Coast before heading West. Hope to be in Houston for Thanksgiving with our daughter and then on to Arizona for the winter. Safe travels everyone!!! Well, I know we'll certainly see you in Arizona !! sandsys
The Minnesota State Fair is the week + weekend ending Labor Day. We have a law that school can't start until the day after Labor Day so all those 4H kids can participate. In spite of our few big cities, Minnesota is still mostly an agricultural state. Sandie & Jim
Love catchin' walleye and love eatin' 'em! Hoping to get up that way next season. How's the campgrounds there? R There are lots of BLM and state campgrounds with no hookups everywhere. We are at the KOA near Townsend, MT which is really a fishing camp. Weekends are incredibly busy. There is really only one RV park in Helena - Lincoln Road RV Park. But if all you need is electric - the fairgrounds is much cheaper. That's where John and Sharon stayed when they were here. I'm pretty sure we'll be spending another month here next summer so Jim can fish.
