We got our first snow cover the day after Christmas and it's so little the swamp grasses are sticking up through it. Our first blizzard warning just went into effect, though, so I may be singing a different tune by this time tomorrow. We stocked up on groceries today and our building turned on the furnaces that heat the hallways for the first time this season. They turned out to be so dusty our fire alarms went off about noon. Fortunately, they figured out the source before we had to evacuate into the cold. As Freddie always says, "Life is good!" Yeah, lunch get-together would be fun. We spent a month in the UP this past summer. Had a great time! I think it's nice to monitor and if someone has something nice or important to update us with, they can post. No reason, in my humble opinion, to post for the sake of posting. That said, all is well in Houston....go ahead and land that thing!  We are still at the Houston Elks CG until sometime around the beginning of April. Houston Cook-off this weekend and then the month long Houston Rodeo. If passing through Houston, this is a great place to stop but unfortunately it is full for Rodeo.
