Wanderin
Escapee's won't take it away if it isn't used frequently, will they? I think it's nice to monitor and if someone has something nice or important to update us with, they can post. No reason, in my humble opinion, to post for the sake of posting. That said, all is well in Houston....go ahead and land that thing! We are still at the Houston Elks CG until sometime around the beginning of April. Houston Cook-off this weekend and then the month long Houston Rodeo. If passing through Houston, this is a great place to stop but unfortunately it is full for Rodeo. Give us a shout if passing through so we can meet up! Safe travels everyone Paul, Marsha, and Bella Nope. They won't take it away but once in a while it's nice to move it to the top of the list again. It's just keeping in touch with everyone who still check this forum. Sandie & Jim
Personally, I'm counting down the days (months) until we can finally get on the road again at the end of May. Have to wait around for Jim to have his cancer scan and check with his heart doctor. So I live vicariously through all of your travels. Be safe out there. I sometimes think about Boogity and wonder how he is coping. I can understand reading this forum could be too painful for him but I miss him. We met him and his wife and Steve and Carol all on the same day at Grand Casino way back in 2008. First of the group we met and the guys installed our booster while we were there. Good introduction to this group. etrippe1
I'm here for what it's worth. Hey Eric - how are you and Karla doing with all the weather you've had this year in Florida? You haven't checked in in awhile. Hey Sandie, thanks for asking We are in Port Richey FL now and doing fine. This season has been very wet, cold and windy but at least we don't have to shovel any of it. We have been somewhat busy. We have been wanting/needing a new kitchen sink and countertop and we have been able to get that done while here. So thats been fun. We are still planning on going to Chicago for the summer, and are planning a route thru Washington DC in April as we head north. Karla has never been so she is pretty excited. We will be there at the end of the Cherry Blossom Festival. Also big news is my son moved (today) from Chicago to Seattle. So that means more trips out west for us in the future. The only down item, which is a big one, is that Kora is showing her age (11 now) and not doing so great. She is breathing hard and faster than normal but all tests and x rays come back good. The vet here is not sure what to do. We are in contact with our vet back home and he is also stumped. We are just playing it day to day and keeping her comfortable. Time marches on. Freddy & Delcie
We are at Rovers Roost at .Casa Grande. We spent five weeks at Pilot Knob, enjoyed it except for the heat, it was in the 90's several days, a little uncomfortable boondocking. When we pulled in here found that we had thrown a tread off a trailer tire, glad we made it to the park instead of on the side of the road. Hope everyone is having fun! LIFE IS GOOD!!! I am so sorry to hear about Kora. You know how much I love that rock playing mutt. Our Scooter isn't doing good either (13) and has heart problems. Day to day and just love them as much as we can. More trips out west sound good to us. How about Montana? DC is a great place to visit. A couple of months might let you see some of the area. The Cherry blossoms are incredible around the Tidal Pool. Wanderin
I'm sure we'll be seeing Eric and Karla when they visit the Pacific NW. That's a good thing. Having our pets age is hard. I guess it's just like us when we age. Some things aren't as much fun! I love the hook ups when it's cold or when it's hot. However, I must admit I also enjoy being out in the middle of nowhere for a while.
